Don't buy this toaster I've already replaced this toaster after a couple of months uneaven cooking not cool wall bread gets wedged in and don't even try hot cross buns, avoid!
Darren EvansReceived a faulty toaster! Doesn’t work
sandra amelie rasquiWe sent this toaster back after one week, the left hand side doesn't work if nothing in right side, also if your right pops up first the left stay stuck down, we had to turn it of at the plug to remove crumpets, it also toasts more to the rear of the toaster than the front
Amazon CustomerWater level is difficult to see as window is next to handle rather than on side of kettle.
ElduboisElement has just gone - I’ve had since Sept 2017- not a long enough life span in my view.
Amazon CustomerOn removing the toaster from the box, it does look like a nice toaster. How ever once you start to use it, it quickly becomes apparent its not. The push down handles and the mechanism behind them feels very flimsy and I'm not holding out hope that it will last long at all. When using all four slots to make toast, the two slots on the left side burn the toast whilst the right two come out as I wanted, so a very uneven temperature. I wouldn't recommend this toaster to anyone.
Mr G.Breville kettle produced disgusting tasting water and the problem persisted for months - lost count of how many cups of coffee went down the drain! Eventually bought a new kettle. This is problem is well known to Breville. Their website says "This is quite common if you have a new kettle. Remove the filter from your kettle and fill it 3/4 with water and boil. Once boiled, add 2 tablespoons of bicarbonate of soda and leave to stand overnight. Discard the water then re-boil a couple of times to remove any bicarbonate soda residue. " We tried that - it didn't work. We now have an Aicok kettle which has no plastic parts inside and no bitter taste. Breville customer services were dismissive of our complaint. Avoid Breville kettles unless you like drinking chemicals leached from plastics (I assume). David
Amazon CustomerThe viewing window for filling levels is behind the length of the handle, making it hard to see.Otherwise good value for money.

This is the noisiest kettle I have ever owned. The design is also poor with the transparent water indicator window being behind the handle where you can’t see it ! ( there’s no internal light) On the plus side it is a better pourer than my previous kettle. To be honest I hope it doesn’t last too long so I can buy a better kettle!
pjollopStopped working after a few months
bryan mcnaughtLooks good, boils well but very very noisy!!!
julia humphreyskettle is fine but not very clear to see water amount through window as it is behind the handle
philip best... Unless you want your tea and coffee to taste of TCP!! I have never had this problem with any other kettle, so I know it isn't my water. They know it's a problem because they tell you how to get rid of these taste and smell in the instructions, but I've had the thing for 6 months, and their suggested cleaning process hasn't made a difference. Utter garbage.
BritHorrorHoundBroke after 6 months of infrequent use. Only gave it 1 star as there is no option of going lower
Andrew LewisStupid settings and the left side bizarrely is not considered the primary toaster! Gets me every time!!!!!
AceEvery section toasts the bread differently - even the same slice isn't evenly toasted on both sides, one side is very light and the other almost burnt. And slots don't work independently - you've got to put the 2 on the right down to use the 2 on the left. So you end up using the same 2 slots on the right a lot more often than the 2 on the left, unless your're toasting 4 slices every time. Terrible.
Gerry-BhoyThis is a decidedly 'ok' basic kettle. It's pleasant enough to look at, and it boils the water at a reasonable speed. However it does have one or two design annoyances. The main problem (for me), is that they gave it a see-through panel so you can judge how much water is left. However, the genius who designed it put the gauge right under the handle, where it's hard to see. In practice, this means that I more often guess how much water is in the kettle by picking it up and feeling the weight, and the gauge is pretty much redundant. It sounds like a minor quibble, but if it annoys me, it might annoy you too.And that's about it, except to note that the exterior of this does seem to get a LOT hotter than my previous kettle - we have no young children here, so it's not really an issue, but you should probably be aware of it.Bottom line: It's a basic kettle at a basic price. it does the job. But you might do well to compare it against a few others before deciding.
AshtreeThis is an attractive looking kettle with a decent capacity, and the build quality feels good. When boiling, the kettle is quite loud, and the biggest problem with the device is the fact that it regularly switches itself off with no warning and for no apparent reason before it has actually boiled. This happens about 3 times out of every 7 uses, and is quite annoying. At least the fact that the kettle is so loud means that you are able to hear when it has not finished boiling before it switches off.
