bought beging of the year and know stopped to work, its trying clean but doest clean!!! it doesn't suck dirt, it just spreads!very sad about it!!
Ric D.Don’t buy this product. My vacuum has a screw missing - I contacted customer support who instead of sending me a new screw told me to go to a DIY store and find something similar!! The vac has hardly been used and it’s only 8 months old and already coming apart. Poor build quality and awful customer service.
Mr I StaintonIf I had paid full price for this cleaner then I would have been very disappointed with the lack of features. For over 100 pounds less, you can get a cleaner with room scanning, better remote features, better bin design and even a mop should you choose to use it.
Only meThe fad of using this device quickly wears out after a few weeks. It often gets stuck on our breakfast bar stools and has no sensor to smartly plot out the room. instead it blindly bangs around the room until its runs out of battery and then returns 'home' to charge. If you are considering a Robot Vacuum Cleaner thump out some more cash for a Vacuum with either a camera or sensor mounted to the device. This is basically a 1st gen device and it shows...
Scott RundleI am actually disappointed with this product I bought it after being recommend but I find it underpowered I still Hoover just as much. I was so excited to get it to make life easier but it’s definitely not what I was expecting. It also only last about 10 minutes after a full battery and I thought it would go back to the docking station when it’s batteries were dying but it doesn’t.
Amazon CustomerWith no other robot vacuum comparison, I will say the suction power is just okay but not impressive. Battery life is really good, however the apps connection just totally let down. Keep fail to link up to wifi, and after occasionaly linked to the apps, still always fail to update the firmware. Apps also lack of return dock/spot cleaning function...
David KwanTerrible for the money you pay and it cant operate on black or dark carpets. Most people these days have far or black carpets. They should allow users to disabled the cliff sensors to allow it to operate without thinking it will fall down the stairs.
A. EdsonVery disappointed with this item, the cleaning is good byt the battery does not last and it does not dock back. Bought from amazon as a wharehouse deal and was only meant to have aesthetical issues but it seems to have many more problems.
InghyIt’s not my first vacuum robot cleaner, so I can confirm this product has serious problems. It can’t find its dock, after the cleaning process is completed it keeps trying to dock for 30min then the battery drains and loses configurations. So if you set it up while you’re out on a travel, it’ll clean only once then it won’t find its dock, so will be dead after 1 cleaning.Amazon support was amazing getting my unit replaced, however after 2 months the same issues happened. The vacuum can help on the cleaning process, but it’ll never find his way back to the dock. I’m reaching Amazon support again to have it sorted. I’d definitely expect that a vacuum robot would be able to clean, recharge, clean, unfortunately it doesn’t happen with this model. There are a few reports on YouTube and Google showing these problems.
Mackert UKI'm so disappointed. I really had high hopes for this as it was such a costly purchase for me and I hate hoovering! Roomba is easy to use, simply ask Alexa to clean up and off he goes. Endearing little thing, very sweet. However, he has no idea where he's going, misses rooms completely and doesn't actually suck up much. I empty the waste often, its only small and thats okay, but I know it's lack of suction isn't due to being full. He scoots off around the flat for hours, docks itself, sings a little fan fare and pats himself on the back then I go and have a look and obvious bits of debris (small and hooverable) are still right in the middle of the hallway etc. I've seen him pass over bits and doesn't suck them up. My month return date is coming up and I have to decide if I'm going to return him, I think I probably will. Alright for hoovering up surface dust etc (thats what the waste is full with) but to collect anything other than dust and hair, he's useless. :(
CathySo disappointing I went with the roomba has they are one of the leading brands in this particular market. It lasted just over a week. Now I have to go through all the trouble of retuning and chasing a refund.
Dene ShirleyOverall an okay vacuum.Cleans well, but I would say that this model isn’t quiet good enough for most people to actually purchase.Pros:Good suctionApp is easy to useScheduling makes automation easyCons:The roomba hasn’t found its way back to the dock once, so I find myself searching the ground floor for a dead roomba to bring back to the dock.Cleaning patterns are random rather than methodical and efficient, so some bits are missed.Overall - unless you’re buying the top end model with room mapping to allow for efficient routes and reliable ‘return to dock’, the technology really isn’t ready for this to be a viable option for most people. If you’re willing to spend £600-£800 on the top mode, it may become more worthwhile.
Eliott ChandlerThis robot vacuum is neat, compact and easy to set up using the app.I tried it initially in a carpeted room and although it seemed to choose a random route it did quite a good job even if it took longer than necessary had it cleaned in a more methodical way.Today i moved it to the room where it was planned that it would live and get the most use out of. This room has hard tiled floor but with two rugs. Once again, it takes a bizarre route but eventually seemed to get most of any visible debris. Sadly though, it failed to cope with the rugs. They aren't the thickest rugs but the Roomba could not climb them and instead changed route leaving them untouched. I'm really disappointed as my partner took a lot of persuading for us to invest in one of these. Its a shame you can't alter the height f the brushes as you can on most conventual vacuum cleaners.I will reluctantly contact Amazon and find out my options regarding returning this item.
Amazon CustomerI live in a flat with 4 rooms. The docking station was set up in the bedroom, the Roomba then spend the next hour randomly cleaning only the bedroom and not the rest of the flat, it is a small room and should take 5 minutes to clean. The doors to the flat were left wide open and unobstructed. It missed large spaces on the floor and kept returning to the same areas, hugely disappointed. I will be returning the Roomba and buying a Neato instead, a family friend has one and it cleans their house very nicely.
Nicholas GreenThis is my first Vacuum Robot; not one for this sort of technology, but I am away a lot and coming home to a clean floor appeals to me!
I read some reviews, saw the price point of this Robotic Vacuum Cleaner as appealing and of the little I knew of this market, have heard of iRobot/ Roomba so felt comfortable in the purchase
I was quite pleased when I first used the robot; I placed it in the Kitchen, a lino floor, and was impressed with its cleaning ability; it was a tad random (more on this later), but it was my carpeted living room where it had issues. First off, the robot had real issues in actually getting into the living room; sometimes it detected the carpet, then turned around, other times it would edge in, hit the nearby bookshelf then turn around and head back in the kitchen. It did find its way into the Living Room eventually, but only after 30 min in my relatively small kitchen, which seem rather uneconomical. Once actually in the Living room, the robot starts to struggle on several fronts. We have a large carpet in the middle of the room, and the robot fond the edge then gave up, turned around and like a stroppy teenager to a strop back into the kitchen. After finding its way back into the Living room, it did finally find a spot it was happy to climb up onto the rug, but once it found its way off the other end the same problem reoccured. It also acted pretty stupid; it works around the corner of the living room fond the rug corner, attempted to mount it (unsuccessfully) turned around and cleaned the same part of the room 10 times, completely missing another corner that was assessable (rug not impeding its route) but simply didn't make it). After an hour of total cleaning, it (finally) made it back to the charging station, with half the living room untouched
So the first day, I was concerned. However, I placed this down to my rug; not shaggy, but it is a think underbelly that obviously the robot had issues with.
So I bought a new rug... thinner and smaller, I was su
