Best house investment I ever made
Reviewed on Amazon.co.uk

Great and durable product, I had my roomba for 5 years with only one change of battery before passing it on to a new owner and it still works well. Functions are quite basic but overall it really does the job well. I used it on daily basis as I have two cats and all the hair and litter particles make a mess very quickly, a real lifesaver having this great product to keep the house clean all the time.

Great.....when it actually switches on!
Reviewed on Amazon.co.uk

This is my first time writing a review but felt compelled after such a disappointment. I got this despite reading some reviews about the poor battery performance thinking it couldn't be that bad. On arriving all was great, all charged up and worked perfectly. We were so excited to go out, let the roomba do it's magic and come home to a fluff free living room (we have a very molty dog). And it did and was superb but that was first and only time. The very first time I tried to charge the battery it said error 2 lights wild flash and it would not charge. Checking this issue the handbook said it means roomba is too hot - to let it cool down before charging. No problem. So we left it alone for an hour. Tried again, it did the same thing - error 2 won't charge. So we left it over night. Tried again in the morning. Same error and it still wouldn't charge. When we called the helpline (which in itself was a mission to find) they told us to take battery out and try again. We did this (which was no small feat) and had the same problem. We ended up leaving the roomba alone for a week and this time battery finally charged. However when switching on Roomba after charging, it must have lasted only a few minutes before the battery ran low and it died and then when we tried to charge it - error 2 again. It was so frustrating I tried returning it. But that became nearly impossible because of charges and opening hours of certain return centres. In the end it has come out every blue moon, if we are very lucky the battery may charge and it will have a spin but most of the time, it will say error 2 (no matter how long it's been resting) remains and I really wonder what better things I could spend the best part of £200 on. When I heard battery was poor, I didn't think the battery would only last for 1 spin!!!! Shocking all round - product, customer service - all of it.

Amazing for doing boring chores!

Picks up all the dirt from our carpets and hardwood floors. There seems to be a method in its madness as if you're patient and let it complete its run, it does clean entire floors of the house. Excellent for l freeing up time and entertaining small children! So good, we've bought another domestic robot already! Would definitely recommend.

Bought this as we are both in our late seventies and found the conventional upright cleaner hard work, especially carrying it up and down stairs. It does a good job generally but tends not to pick up solid bits. It's quite entertaining to watch at work. We call it Daisy after the kitchen maid in Downton Abbey.

Does everything I hoped for and more, brilliant piece of kit, switch it on when we go out come home to clean floor.Used on Karndeen flooring and brand new carpet also tiled floor in kitchen. Had new wool carpet fitted in one room, approx 25sqM, put Robot down to do its stuff and it cleaned up all excess fibres etc you get with new carpet and amazed the fitter who couldn't believe in one session how it and done such a brilliant job, one thing I knew I had to do was empty the unit three or four times due to the amount of bits of wool etc, BUT THAT WAS FINE, it does compact the stuff up well though in its container but for best results just empty often, it's easy.We put our dining chairs on top of table and try to clear as much stuff off floor before starting Robot but you would move stuff anyway using normal vacuuming methods wouldn't you, brilliant when it comes to say any furniture legs as it cleans around in a circle action each one in turn, luckily all our other units are just high enough off the floor for Robot to go under so NO DUST THERE anymore, just fantastic how it stops when near a step and turns around so brilliant for landings etcSeriously thinking of buying the Mop cleaning version for our non carpet areas

Absolutely Fantastic Product. I don't leave many reviews but this product is truly amazing. You'll be astonished at how much it manages to collect on a daily basis! I used to suffer from terrible allergies but since getting the Roomba I have stopped using antihistamines and nasal steroids and have never felt better. Every household should have one of these.

Great product! I do have to tidy the floor of loose cables and other junk. But does a great job cleaning the house! Also got my mum one, she loves it also.I use it every day and what it misses on day it gets the next. So while not perfect, constant use helps. Also as it requires almost no effort on my part, my apartment always looks great.

As we have 3 cats and use wood pellet litter and laminate floors I am delighted with the difference that the Roomba has made. Although the blurb said it was programmable the 620 model is not. I am delighted with it but it make more noise that I expected so it has to put on when we are out of the house or overnight. We have very little sawdust on the floor now and coming home to a dust and cat hair free living room is a delight.

With Roomba, you can clean up even when you aren't home. This vacuuming robot efficiently picks up dirt, debris, pet hair, dust, allergens and more from carpets and hard floors. It does the vacuuming for you. Roomba removes dirt, dust, and much more while automatically adjusting to clean carpets, hardwood, tile, and linoleum floors as it moves through your home. Roomba 620 has superior hair handling ability; the robot's AeroVac Technology maximizes air flow, pulling debris off the brushes and into the back of the bin. The AeroVac three-stage system ensures clean floors from wall edge to wall edge. Dirt Detect technology uses an acoustic sensor to identify dirtier areas, so the Roomba spends more time cleaning them.

Featuring iAdapt Responsive Cleaning Technology, Roomba monitors the cleaning environment over 60 times per second, using multiple sensors and over 40 behaviours to maximise cleaning performance. It thoroughly cleans your carpets, hardwood, tile and linoleum floors, including in tight spots, under and around furniture and along edges. The 600 Series delivers greater ease of use with superior hair handling ability – innovatively compositioned longer-lasting brushes handle fibres more effectively than ever, whilst AeroVac Technology maximises air flow through the cleaning head to pull debris off the brushes and into the newly designed larger bin. And along with its simple and intuitive interface, Roomba 620 returns to its Home Base to dock and recharge between cleanings. All you have to do is press “Clean” and let Roomba do the dirty work.

The Roomba 600 series, which includes model 620 offers a number of improvements over the 500 series. On the hardware front the 600 models has "AeroVac Technology" for an improved vacuuming system, an improved cleaning head module with better brush design and airflow, and a pop of colour on the top.
The 600 series looks a bit nicer than the 500s, is a slightly more efficient cleaner, and its bin has to be emptied less often, but most of the key features are unchanged. The 600 series is still designed for up to 110 square metres, works with the optional virtual walls.

Roomba: Born to Make a Difference

There are now many vacuum-cleaning robots on the market. However,
Roomba remains a unique product from a unique company.
Because, whilst other products are the result of an appliance manufacturer deciding to build a robot, Roomba is the creation of a robotics company, who decided to make people’s lives better.

Roomba: From Dream to Real Life

Roomba was created to live in our world: a world with furniture and pets, children and dirt, different floor coverings and precious possessions and homes with more than one room lived in by real people with busy lives.
We created Roomba to live in the real world.

The Power to Adapt

One of Roomba’s most crucial advantages is its unique navigation system, iAdapt Responsive Cleaning Technology. This advanced system of sensors and software lets Roomba adapt to its environment, making more than 60 decisions every second and employing the most relevant of dozens of cleaning behaviours.
So, unlike its competitors, who clean rigidly in straight lines and can become confused by obstacles, Roomba will cope perfectly in your home. It tackles every room on its own merits, adapting its path to clean more of the floor more thoroughly, including along edges and under, around and behind furniture.
Roomba’s iAdapt is driven by a series of infrared sensors, which constantly monitor its surroundings and report to a complex processor where advanced software interprets the information and allows it to react accordingly.
