Do not buy, after only a couple of months kettle leaked from the spout slowly getting worse, it is now unusable

There seems to be a design fault with this kettle. The angle of the spout is such that when you pour you get the final drips spilling which means that every time you use it you are left with a puddle of water on your worktop. Not a good thing when you are pouring boiling water.

The plastic is patchy and very poor quality. I returned it hoping it was a manufacturer defect but the replacement was exactly the same

It has broken already! Just over six months old!

Just under one year the filter near the spout has broken and all it does is drip hot water over me! Would not say it’s safe at all.... will be fine for the first 6 months or so but good luck with it after that!

Not bad. Pretty good value for money.

I Purchased this item on 7th August 2017 delivered 13th August 2017 and already the illumination has failed.I bought it specially so that I could see the level of water.

Can't say I'm impressed. The first one was returned as it would not light up and the second drips water every time you pour the water, fed up of getting drips of hot water all over myself and the worktop. But it does boil fairly quickly and not too loudly but overall not great.

We seem to go through a kettle a year because we use it so much, so I never want to pay too much for one! This one is OK it seems to have furred up inside quite quickly, so less than a month and I need to descale, never mind. Good seller, quickly received, thanks.

I have had this kettle for 4 years and it has done good service but now the plastic on the lid nearest the spout is disintegrating. Guarantee is 1yr with Breville which isn't very long.

1) It's heavy. Its replacement is lighter with two cups of water in it (I have weak muscles due to a medical condition, so this matters)
2) It dribbles. No matter how careful you are, it seems to enjoy dripping on the counter
3) The plastic looks shabby very quickly
4) The detente that holds the lid up quickly wears away, so the lid flops down during filling
5) The blue light is a bit annoying in the end

I don't often throw away functional objects, but I'm making an exception in this case.

Kettle works fine, but the blue light stopped working after fewer than 10 uses, which is rather disappointing. We couldn't be bothered with the fuss or returning it and doing without a kettle for the duration.

Basic kettle that does exactly what you need it to do, slightly smaller than my previous breville but not a problem. delivered quickly and no problems with it

Ok but filter life is short and can't seem to get a replacement

Leaks water when pouring, I have a big puddle on the work top everytime.

Absolute rubbish. As per other reviews on here, it leaked on the base within a few weeks of having it. Unfortunately, I am also too late to return the kettle as the return date has passed but it is clearly faulty and has been a complete waste of money. When using it now, I have to keep the kettle off the base as it leaks so much. Terrible product.

I bought this Breville kettle because I had a Breville one previously which lights up even when it's not in use. This one only lights up when it is switched on. Disappointed. The sides are not very smooth either, it looks as though it has been dropped or something is poking through from underneath. Still. It boils water. Gets the job done. Still disappointing compared to the awesome one I had in the past, I just thought I was buying the right one, not this inferior version.

Nice kettle, as expected

The plastic lid chipped around the edges and the white body of the kettle discoloured badly to a dirty yellow colour. After several months the body of the kettle became very brittle and shattered.The kettle did boil quite well when it was intact but was rather noisy.The pieces ended up in the bin.
