The filter aspect is a rip off
NicI bought this back in July, and waited until now to review to give it a fair enough chance. If you have more than two mugs of tea to make at a time I wouldn’t recommend this kettle. The filter system didn’t work properly for us with the tea still not being as clear as it could be. Positives are that it boils quickly and the light that comes on is pretty. It’s worth bearing in mind that you need to constantly purchase the Brita filters (about £20 for six which will last six months ish).
CC123The chamber is smaller than my previous black Russell Hobbs which is a bit disappointing.
NibbyIt’s good if there are only two people in the house but no good for large families as you have to keep refilling the top reservoir to provide enough water for the kettle.
DeanNo don't like this kettle, don't like the features
SunbabeLooks ok, fast to boil but a little too small for the money paid for it
Beausejour2019The kettle looks great but it's not very big. Very modern looking but with the filter taking up almost half the capacity the kettle only holds enough water to boil two mugs of water. The boiling speed is quite quick but given the small amount of water it holds its not surpriseng
BodTakes a while for water to go through. But you can certainly taste the difference
lesThis kettle looks good, the clear walls and blue light when boiling creates a nice effect. The kettle contains a water filter which is great and made a difference to the taste of the tea, for the first week. The filters are supposed to last for four weeks but today the tea tastes as it did from my previous kettle, after two weeks use. Not only does it takes ages to fill, adding small amounts each time to allow the water to filter through but the filters would need replacing sooner than suggested
BecsyAfter buying the kettle we realised it was a filter one which we did not want so returned it.
ChippieSome plastics contain BPA., and can be harmful when heated. I have no idea what type is used for this kettle or its filters. I thought that the taste of tea made using water from this had no flavour other than a 'plasticy' taste.
mikec2512And I hate the sound is too loud
PedBoils really fast but only 1 litre when full.p
JMWBought this kettle to replace the old Morphy Richards Brita kettle. Turns out the old model is far better. This one has a smaller capacity (can barely get 2 large mugs on max fill), the kettle itself is cheaply made of flimsy plastic and even s/steel detail doesn't save it.
darnixieThe filter runs out to fast... and when it does there is no notice...instead it start boiled over and create a big mess...damaging my cooking books....
LoversBeautiful design, filter the water while is boiling but is very flimsy, my broke so easy. Really glad that I have insurance.
ArielBoils fast and love that it filters the water so no timescale in my drink
UssyWouldn't buy it again. Flimsy design and on/off switch was flimsy. Returned to store and bought the higher priced one, worth the extra money
LionladyThis kettle looks good but I have found it to be very noisy when boiling.
ElizabethNice looking kettle but couldn’t get rid of the plastic tasting water.
