Do not buy this kettle! Intermittently faulty since purchase, despite following all filling and troubleshooting recommendations, it fails to switch off automatically upon boiling. This has now got to the point where it cannot be left as it is 90% likely to just keep boiling, the facia covering of my kitchen cupboards above has been melted off and Dualit Customer Service are not interested saying it is Retailer’s responsibility. As I am now in the 12th month of warranty my window of return is fading - dangerous, not up to reputation - my first and last Dualit purchase - AVOID!!!!

Ordered product. On the picture advertising the products it shows the kettle a lot larger than the toaster, on arrival the kettle was smaller than the toaster, so it is very misleading on the advert.

A nice kettle but when they go wrong they cannot be repaired. I don't mind paying more for a nice product but it should not be a throwaway item

Well made and nice design but... the flip up lid is extremely stiff to operate. This has led to a couple of near-misses when refilling after water has just boiled. The lid is stiff and when it pops up open, which takes a fair amount of force, the kettle can jolt causing the water to splash. Needs to be handled carefully if boiling water is still in it when topping up.
Otherwise it's an ideal size, really small and compact for daily use. You don't tend to over fill it and boil more than you need as with larger kettles.

It looks pretty, has the brand name. but in functionality it toasts just like any other toaster, one half slightly browner than the other. The ridge between black and metal catches toast crumbs so needs cleaning with a brush regularly. The only special feature is you can lift the lever to look at the toast without stopping the timer, not something I use much. You need to get the expensive classic Dualit toasters for better toasting.

Considering that this toaster costs over twice the price of cheaper toasters, and is manufactured by a Dualit, the performance is simply not good enough. Very often the toast is done correctly on one side and burnt on the other, or done correctly on one side and still bread on the other. The bagel function it isn’t the cause of these issues as I haven’t used it yet. The photos show the different levels of toasting on each side, with different types of bread. I’m probably going to return it.

I purchased this kettle on the 20-01-2018 it stopped working. i have tried different ways to contact amazon but have had no answer. your policyes for getting help are not very good

Unfortunately our perfectly sized kettle has started to turn itself off half way to boil. This is really frustrating, especially if you're not standing watching it & so you pour yourself a tepid cup of coffee! Very disappointed as out son highly recommended dualit, perhaps we've just got a faulty kettle. ☹️

We were bemused to find our brand new kettle was wet inside and had clearly been used before. Otherwise works perfectly well, if a little small.

It WAS OK and has now blown all the house fuses twice! The second time just checked it was indeed this kettle. Bought it about 6 months ago but cant find order on my Amazon list. Might try to get refund from manufacturer but the comments here dont seem very encouraging about this. Just went out and bought £20 Russell Hobbs stainless steel kettle. There is no point in paying a lot as they are all made in China as one of your reviewers pointed out! Very disappointing as this kettle is very handy and neat looking . I wanted a light sturdy well designed kettle which would last ! Is this too much to ask Dualit??? Your reputation is not well deserved!!!

I own an original Dualit toaster and only bought this because my children couldn't toast crumpets and thick bread in it. Not made in solid feel materials. Feels very much like a "cheap end" product. If you like quality then pay the full price of a proper Dualit toaster!!

Great looking jug, however if you are in a hard water area think twice about purchasing this. After the second day of use, lime scale was already visible on the outside of the jug, on the stainless steel where it meets the black plastic. Really noticeable on the shiny metal. I spoke to Dualit customer service tio see if this was a common thing, they advised me to send it back to Amazon if I was unhappy with the item. So it's a great jug for a small kitchen, looks good with the matching toaster, but if you have a hard water issue be warned, unless your happy descaling it every day.

Had this for 3 1/2 yrs. 4 times what I would normally spend. Justified high price by Dualits reputation, thought would last at least 10 yrs. Functionality great but matt coating started peeling off after 1 yr. At 2- 3 yrs plastic body degraded/crumbled around controls & cancel knob pinged out due to plastic prong crumbling away. Browner dial stopped working so have to toast bread 3 times to get brown. Same money could have bought me enough value brand ones to last the rest of my life!

Some sliced loaves don't fit in slots so ends don't get done! I tend to cut slices in half and use all four slots. Also I find it doesn't toast evenly unless all four slots are being used. Bit let down if honest.

I have had this kettle since December 2012. It is a very small kettle and is the perfect size for me. Unfortunately, on making my tea this morning it died. I had hoped that it would last me much longer than 10 months, but it seems in life some relationships are fleeting.Amazon and Dualit, please note. I am disappointed. A kettle is for life, not just for Christmas.I would ask for my money back but unfortunately my trusty kettle lasted just long enough that this is no longer an option.Shame.
