Not doing any moping
Reviewed on Amazon.co.uk

The suction force is not enough. Things like tiny strings from socks or other sock remains are not being removed from the carpet. The moping is not what it is promised from the advert.

Great vacuum bot, but reliability and customer service is a bit of a problem
Reviewed on Amazon.co.uk

Got the M81Pro as our first ever robot cleaner after doing quite a bit of searching around just under a year ago, so I was very pleased to find that it works great, picking up pet hair, small dirt, all the little annoying stuff that you want to keep on top of every day but just don't have time to do yourself. It even has app which works surprisingly well and has a few extra bonus features that improve the overall experience. So why just 2 stars?Just over a month ago our bot developed a brush fault (I bought the replacement brush, but that wasn't the problem), but thankfully it's still under warranty, so I sent it out for a repair... As I said, it has been over a month now and I still don't have my bot back which I need for the daily tasks I described above. I've contacted the customer service to ask what's happening to receive a reply that they now found a fault and have ordered a replacement part. So what were they doing for the last 30 days or so? What would have happened if I never emailed them to ask about my bot? Would I ever get it back? If that much for a problem fixing it, I would expect to receive a replacement unit by now, but that is of course not happening, so I still have no idea when I'm going to get it back..So to recap, great vacuum robot, works great and it "works", but once you have a problem with it, you have a "big problem", especially once it goes out of warranty which I'm dreading a bit...Once I receive my bot back I will update the review with the latest information. For now, thread with caution..UPDATE: I finally received my DEEBOT back after almost 2 months away (22nd Aug to 16th Oct). It works fine now, but I couldn't use this pretty expensive product for 2 months! Also, what happens to the warranty now, did I lose two months of my warranty because of this? I would have loved to give this bot a 1-star rating, but the actual bot is really nice, apart from reliability and issues that follow that, so overall I can give it 2.5 stars, because being a nice device is not so great if it work

Too frustrating
Reviewed on Amazon.co.uk

So there's no problem setting this robot up with Amazon Alexa. Just follow the setup process using the Ecovacs app and then give Alexa the Ecovacs skill. Dead easy. It's pretty cool to be able to sit in my bedroom and tell Alexa to tell Deebot to start cleaning and hear it start up. 20 minutes later or so, Deebot will glide into the room and start cleaning after previously covering the living room and the hall.

That's where the problems begin. After doing some hoovering of the bedroom, Deebot inevitably heads on its journey of doom. It goes towards the corner of the room where the wardrobe is, reverses itself, then jams itself in the corner. It tries to rescue itself, but at the same time its shoving itself firmly into the corner, so it doesnt work. Then it stops and the bleeping starts.

It does pick up a lot of fluff and what not and the carpets are very clean since i got it. But theres no way it can work without a human to pick it up now and again when it gets stuck for no good reason. Oh well. It's kind of flawed, but for some reason I still like it.

Update - sick to death of it getting stuck. Sending it back. Got the Xiaomi Roborock now which is brilliant.

Continually gets stuck
Reviewed on Amazon.co.uk

It's good in a large empty room but utterly useless in my open plan kitchen/sitting room. It will manage to get under the coffee table and get Stuck. When I block the coffee table off it just will keep on ramming it's way in over and over again until it finally pushes the barrier out of the way and gets stuck again

Maybe for a small house

3 months in, and the brush has stopped working and the button on top is flakey. Collects a lot of dust when it’s working, but doesn’t feel like it’s a proper clean. When it was working, it was permanently getting stuck (every 10-15 minutes). Trapped under bed, trapped on rug, trapped on cable to charging station. Never successfully re-docked. Impossible to find it when it's got stuck.Update: Sent this in for repair under warranty. 3 months later they are still waiting for the part, and take nearly 1 month to reply to email... Frustrating waste of money.Update: Requested Refund. Bought Roomba 960. Difference is night and day. Cleans properly and doesn't get stuck!

More to show off than to replace a tradional cleaner
Reviewed on Amazon.co.uk

The main reason you would get this is to impress your friends, because as a cleaner, it is only rated for light use in my opinion. You need to place the base against a wall with a half metre space either side and no wires on the floor. The cleaner or DeeDee as my daughter call it, slots into the charger and takes 4 hours to fully charge. Once charged you can either press and hold the top AUTO button on the cleaner to start it in auto mode, or use the supplied remote. The remote offers more cleaning functions such as edge cleaning, deep clean and spot clean. You can also attach the water reservoir and do a little mopping. At the front corners you put 2 brushes, these sweep the debris to the roller. You can also set a timer when the cleaner will start and stop, and there is also a home button on the remote to tell it to go back to base.During cleaning it goes in a line and when it hits something or detects something, it changes course and repeats. I found that in my house with multiple rooms, it does not go everywhere, especially round objects. Also when it is returning to base, it sometimes takes ages, especially if the unit is 2 rooms away from the charger.I find that this is better on a hard floor such as laminate or tiles. On carpet it does not seem to pick up as much as I thought, even on deep clean mode which uses a faster brush setting and more powerful suction. There is just not enough suction for carpet. There is an app and you can connect via WiFi to the cleaner, so you can operate it even when not at home. My router security settings and frequency are too sophisticated for the machine, I need to reduce my settings, but will not do that. After all, I would not put it on if I am not there. It is quiet and just goes about the cleaning, and it is surprising how much it does pick up, just it will not replace a traditional cleaner. Everyone who sees it is impressed, but it is a lot to pay just to impress someone. If you have just a few rooms and there is little furniture and is hard floor, this would be great a

OK for light duties
Reviewed on Amazon.co.uk

Easy to set up and start with a quick read of the manual.Let's be honest, the size of this unit dictates that it is not going to have suction anywhere near that of a proper vacuum. If you expect this thing to provide a "deep clean" you are going to be very disappointed. Can't get into corners.Edge cleaning leaves something to be desired. It operated for about 15 - 20 minutes before running out of charge. This isn't very long considering how poor the suction is and is no where sufficient for the "intensive clean" mode. You cannot set up areas for it to clean unless you put up obstacles in its way.Don't even think about using it if you have deep pile rugs.Performs better on hard surfaces.Great to play with and OK for light duties but isn't going to replace my vacuum cleaner any time soon.

Deebot N78 (Not for Carpeted surfaces)
Reviewed on Amazon.co.uk

N78 deebot vacuumThe Deebot N78 has a nice sleek modern design with modern blue lights for the different settings and changes to a red light when battery is getting low.I have been looking for an easier way to clean the floors of the house for a number of years as my wife keeps on nagging at me to run the vacuum around, but by the time I have got my behind off the settee trundled up all thirteen stairs to get it, I'm out of breath (Nevermind having to carry it back down all thirteen stairs)  then you have got the hassle of undoing the power cable and plugging it in.I was expecting the Deebot N78 to be the answer to all my prayers. Not having to do all that exercise up and down the stairs, having to lift your legs up whilst trying to watch your favourite television programme on full blast just so you could hear it.I thought that the Deebot N78 would have a good suck on it because it is sold as a vacuum robot for use in a household with pets. There are good points and bad points that I have come across whilst using this product.Good points:-• A lot quieter than a domestic vacuum cleaner.• Good cleaning of laminate flooring or tiled floors.• Don't have to miss any of your favourite programmes and can carry on with other things whilst in use.• Automatically returns to its docking station when battery is getting low.• Easy to use operation with a detailed manual.Bad points:-• Not very good on carpeted areas as the suction is not strong enough and the bristles do not agitate the carpet enough to get bits up.• The sensor on the front isn't as responsive as it could be, so does sometimes bang into things.• Not very good around the perimeters of the room.I would only recommend this product to family and friends for use on hard surfaces such as laminate or tiled floors. With daily use and no effort involved it works good.It is not meant to be a replacement for your everyday vacuum cleaner.

Good little device if you aren't a fan of doing manual hoovering
Reviewed on Amazon.co.uk

Good device just a few issues which let it downThis little hoover is decent motor powered brush which is really good on wooden floors. My whole downstairs is wooden and this machine is good at just letting it sweep up all the rubbish that gets on the floor and at a good height on the couch or tv stand it's gets in there and does a good job. On a carpet it struggles to sweep up, it would be better if it had a suction on it but all it has is two sweepers at the front which isn't ideal for carpet use. There was a few negatives with the hoover as well as it would continue to try and sweep in places where he was gonna get stuck like say your couch wasn't the same height on the side as it is on the front and you'd have to keep a eye on it and if you have wires on the floor for like games console or surround sound it would tangle it self up with them wires. There is also a few positive in this that you can switch it on and get on with other stuff like do some cooking while the robot sweeps the floors. It is a good little device just missing a suction on the device and then it would be something special and if it was a bit more intelligent on his surroundings and learn about hazards because you have to keep a eye on it to make sure it get stuck or tangled.

This is quite a good piece of kit
Reviewed on Amazon.co.uk

This is quite a good piece of kit, the positives of it are certainly the mop function as that is great on tiled floors and can just be left to roam around and clear up. The size is also good as it can get under furniture and so on. It also worked well at identifying the stairs as I did have visions of it going tumbling down but up to now it has realised where the stairs are. However, a few negatives - if you have a rug, it doesn't really identify it, so tries to vacuum it but can get stuck on the pile, it can also get a bit stuck trying to go around a corner as it doesn't give itself space to turn. I think it could also do a bit of extra power to pick up larger and more stubborn bits, but obviously this would then impact on the battery life.I like the fact that you can just leave this device running around a room, and that eventually it well end up pretty clean. I dont think it will replace needing to vacuum yourself from time to time.It works better on hard floors than carpets though, I must say.I think the issues I have identified with this are probably not specific to this item, but to the technology as a whole. Its great to be able to say you have a robotic hoover and I think that is what some of these products trade off. As a tool for keeping on top of light dust and so on, it works ok. I think it would probably actually work better in an office environment than a home, as there tends to be a bit more uniformity to an office room than a domestic one.I have tried to write an honest review, as this really is a clever piece of kit but those buying it for more than a secondary cleaning tool may be disappointed.

Great for wooden floor/tiles, terrible on carpet
Reviewed on Amazon.co.uk

I have had this product for around a week now. I was a bit dubious about robot vacuum cleaners due to their size. I got this product because I wanted to see what they were like. The design is good and sturdy and I like the style of it. But unfortunately it just was not powerful enough for my needs. It is very easy to use straight out the box, just plug and play. It is very quiet. I have read reviews on other brands that say they are too noisy, but the Deebot is not at all noisy, more of a slight humming sound.I was a bit disappointed with this model. I have a combination of wooden floor, tiles and carpet/rugs in my house. The Deebot is good on wooden floors and tiles, but unfortunately not powerful enough for carpet/rugs. It is useful for everyday ‘interim’ cleaning, but I would still recommend having a powerful upright/cylinder for weekly deep cleans. If the suction and brushes were more powerful then I would probably give it a higher rating. It says ‘suitable for pet owners’, I have a dog and whilst the Deebot is good at picking up the hairs on wooden floor/tiles, it is not good at all on carpet. The Deebot has various modes. I mainly used auto mode, which sets the Deebot from the charger and just keeps cleaning until the battery is low. The Deebot then returns to the charging dock by itself. Having used it for a week, the Deebot has not successfully managed to dock itself back to the charging station yet. This is somewhat fun as it means I have to look around the house to find it! This may be due to where I’ve placed the charging dock though. I watched the Deebot the last time it returned to base and it kept knocking in to it and coming away again (almost struggling to fit to the charger). The Deebot comes with a mop attachment, which is handy for tiled flooring. It is effective, but again not 100% reliable. We have a rug in our lounge which is on top of laminate flooring. The Deebot struggled at times to mount onto the rug and continue cleaning. I would not say the rug is particularly tall and it should have be
