Not impressed, thought that the quality would be better because its a Russel Hobbs...the red colour is a shocking, plastic like colour, nothing like the picture and the kettle messes each time you pour with it.

Bought this kettle a few days ago. From the moment we got it , it started to leak at the base. Very disappointed with purchase, dangerous product!!!!!!!!

Very basic, takes a long time to boil.

Returned after a few weeks of use.Kettle was leaking at the base.

I would rather go for the other option which is a few quid more but would be faster. This kettle is too slow.

Pros: it is very lightweight and would suit someone who has difficulties with lifting heavy things in the kitchen. It's also a very nice red colour. It boils water.Cons: It feels cheap and flimsy, it takes a long time to boil, it's very noisy.I'll go with Russell Hobbs again in the future but pay a few quid more next time.

Product is brighter, cheaper plastic than imagery shows. Base wasn’t fully assembled- a spring fell out. No off switch. First use it flicked/fizzed on and off- connection not stable. Returned.

Oh dear Russell Hobbs, this is poor.The lid doesn't fit properly leading to scalding steam escaping all around the top. The kettle is unstable on its base and constantly feels wobbly.But worst of all is the one/off switch. For some obscure reason, it is a push/push switch mounted directly under the bottom of the handle. It is almost impossible to operate if you have stiff fingers. What on earth is wrong with a Tab or a Rocker switch?You would expect to pay a fiver at most on a market stall for this rubbish - not it to have the Russell Hobbs brand name.It has already been consigned to "spare" and a proper kettle ordered from elsewhere.

The lid is so hard to open, I have to use 2 hands.

Have only had this for a short time, but it leaks. Bought to replace leaking kettle, but seem to have replaced with the same. Not happy at all.

Kettle has strange habit of switching itself on when not expecting it. Even the dog was shocked!!

Returned it. Lasted 4 boils.

I bought this kettle in May. In October it started leaking into the base, but I didn't believe it - thought the water must have come from somewhere else. Then one day it was leaking and we didn't notice, and it blew all the fuses. Now i have done tests and it is definitely leaking into the base. Very dangerous.

On/off knob very suspect, therefore "pleasant" complaint made to manufacturer
