The best coffee machine ever

Lovely machine. Nespresso coffee is without question one of the best you can get and the company looks after its customers very well. The supplier of my machine delivered it promptly and in new condition. I now look forward to many years of great coffee making.

The best Nespresso machine!

Got this to replace another Nespresso Citiz plus milk machine which had lasted for several years. I loved the old machine, but it was a bit of a hassle to make any more than 2 drinks. This machine makes 4 types of coffee: a shot of espresso, a larger cup of coffee, a cappuccino, or a latte macchiato (the 3 layered one in all the pictures).Out of the box I had to adjust the quantities for each drink to suit our cups, but it remembers how much you set, so you only have to do this once. The machine then makes the exact same sized drink at the touch of a button each time. Very easy to use.The machine knows whether the milk container is attached, so if you don't want it, you can leave it in the fridge and it just disables the milk options. The milk attachment holds enough for about 3-6 drinks, depending how much you use in a cup. Before getting the machine I read a lot of reviews saying that the drinks came out cold. I haven't found this at all. The drinks are hotter than they were with the Citiz with milk machine, although they are still ready to drink straight away. The milk attachment needs taking apart (5 pieces, easy to remove) once a week and cleaning. The parts are dishwasher safe, so it's easy. The only downside (hence 4 stars not 5) is that the froth is a little less dense than the aeroccino made, so you can't really put chocolate powder on without the foam all collapsing.The espresso is consistently good with a great crema. The taller lungo is good too, but if you like milk in your coffee you need to warm the milk and/or the cup. The cappuccino is ok, with the above caveat about the foam. The latte macchiato looks cool, but tastes better if you stir it up to make more of a regular latte. All of the drinks are quick and easy to make, consistent, and the nespresso capsules taste great.Overall, this takes all of the hassle and mess out of making a coffee, which is great in the morning or if you have friends over. The coffee tastes great. Great value machine, I'd recommend it.

good machine

There's no denying that Nespresso machines and those little silver capsules are aesthetically pleasing and fashionable, and I was delighted to obtain this particular model (now superseded by the 'touch control' version) for £100 in the post-Black Friday clearout. At that price it was a steal, but I took it back the next day for a refund. It may be that mine was faulty - the pump did have to chug for an inordinate length of time before drawing water through, so there may have been insufficient brewing pressure. And I did always use the 'long black' button - the 'short' button would have produced a stronger, rounder flavour. Nevertheless, while the Lattissimo milk frother is a thing of genius, and for all the vast range of capsules available, the coffee itself all seemed to taste a bit sharp and watery (and my wife said the same about the latte). If you go for delicate little espresso cups, this is probably a great option, but I'd need about three capsules at a time to produce a sufficiently large, strong cup of coffee. In fact, I actually prefer the considerably cheaper Dolce Gusto system, which doesn't offer a comparable range of blends but can make a respectable, decent-sized Americano, Mocha or Hot Chocolate.My first choice would always be learning to get the best out of a manual espresso machine. For good coffee and ease of use combined, I would personally look for a discount deal on a bean-to-cup machine. And for big, strong Starbucks-style coffees I'd certainly need a more cost-effective solution than a shiny little Nespresso capsule. But if you want a handsome machine that produces fragrant little espressos and cappuccinos, this could be ideal. All those 4* and 5* reviewers surely can't be wrong.

People buy this over the basic nespresso machines because of the milk frother. Don't waste your money! It doesn't warm the milk up to anywhere near the correct temperature, you end up with a Luke warm coffee at best. People say to warm the milk first in the microwave but this machine is meant to do it all. I've had this machine for over a month now and no longer bother with the milk frother. For a great latte, heat your milk in the microwave and add an expresso shot from the machine. I wish I had saved my money and bought the more basic machine.

Bought on for my mum who loves the ease of coffee making with pods compared with the bean to cup ones she's purchased over the years. She wanted something simple, quick and easy to clean so this suits her needs. Nespresso capsules were purchased direct through Nespresso, quick and easy after setting up an account, who also provide a recycling process for the used pods. Coffee making at its best! Amazon were best on price and delivery only took 2-3 days.

Nespresso Lattissima si a good option for coffee lovers, it has 4 programmable functions for tall coffee, short coffee, tall latte and short latte (they are all really easy to program by just pressing, holding and releasing one of the 4 buttons until you get the amount of coffee and milk you desire).

Price is a bit expensive, compared to other options, but in this case you get what you pay for.

( Prior to divorce!) was the proud owner of a £1900 "built in" Miele Coffee machine. This wee £200 beauty works just as well. I absolutely love it !
The excellent way you can programme the water quantity to fit your glasses/mugs, the easy to clean milk parts and the taste of the coffee , its amazing value.
Buy one you won't regret it .
