I love the Krups 9010. It’s a great machine. It makes really good coffee (2nd best I’ve tasted from an automatic – 1st place going to the highly strung Panasonic NC ZA1) however it doesn’t work. When it did work it was amazing. Just put some milk in a cup, press the button and off it went – reliable, hot latte or cappuccino or flat white in a couple of minutes, always the same, always really good, steamed with a wand automatically. It cleaned itself, never really asked for anything apart from water and the drip tray emptied. A true automatic barista, doing literally everything for you. Then one day ‘automatic maintenance’ came up. After the machine had flushed itself through it displayed ‘please empty the coffee grounds’ then ‘please close the door’. Dutifully I did this and it went through the same series, ‘automatic maintenance’, after the machine had flushed itself through it displayed ‘please empty the coffee grounds’ then please close the door etc etc. A full shutdown and restart made no difference. One year is all it lasted and I’m now stuck with a machine on a loop. The very short warranty has expired so an expensive repair is the only way to go if I want to get it up and running again. Not acceptable for a very expensive machine.
Mark GThanks
private4toysThis machine is simple to use and make an excellent flat white amongst many others. I researched many other brands and I feel given the price, which is very reasonable compared to others, it does it all. Cleaning is simple too.
Amazon CustomerI purchased this model from Amazon Germany in 2017, the machine lasted about 6 months before having to send it to Krups for repair. The machine leaked water and was stuck on the system maintenance cycle, meaning I couldn't make a coffee. After 2/3 weeks, the machine was returned to me with no explanation by Krups other than to clean the machine regularly. This machine self-regulates cleaning and won't allow operation without running cleaning cycles. It lasted another year and then packed in 2 weeks ago, again, leaking water, running system maintenance whilst making coffee and failing to produce the correct volume of coffee.I returned it to Amazon for a full refund and then purchased a new one from a High-Street Retailer. This machine lasted a week......system maintenance and not making coffee. There's clearly a huge issue with this model, it makes great coffee but not for long. Don't take a chance on this machine, it will break and you will be inconvenienced. 2 machines and both with the same fault, I wish I had listened to the other reviews.
CK1888Bought a used one for an office that has around 30 staff, it gets used a lot. Its been a huge success and has only had minor issues. Great purchase considering the alternatives out there in this price bracket.
JulioAs said in earlier reviews, the touch screen is cheap plastic, had to change it twice in not even 3 years period really disappointed, wouldn’t buy it again.
PauliusThis is an update to my review of three months ago.It has broken down again since my last review - I got it repaired again and now a few weeks later the coffee bean sensor is on the blink, will either not realise it has run out and produce water instead of coffee, or think there is none in there when it is full. This month it is exactly two years old. One of the most unreliable bits of tech I have owned.Original review follows:First, when it worked the coffee was great but ...after 18 months (outside warranty) it failed.Went for repair, all ok, then one month later a second unrelated problem ... goes back for repair. Now it has gone wrong again, just 7 weeks later, with a solid error code.Looking at other reviews it seems that the build quality / compents are not good enough. An expensive mistake buying this.
John GreigThe only thing is (maybe I jus need to figure it out yet) but when you want let say long coffee you need to add water manually it won’t make it at once itself...
milka.w4Replacement for earlier model - superb coffee.
dellboyderekBought this in April 2015.And today it is broken ,,,,,,Up until today its been very good ,And the household was very pleased with it .We did everything it told us to do ..And now its out of Warrenty .
Richard Stark EmeryVery disappointed with the coffee machine, the touch screen feels cheap as its plastic not glass, it always wants to clean itself every time you switch on so therefore not a quick cup of coffee at all!! Bean hopper is too small, water tanks too small, drip tray too small. My old Gaggia bean to cup made a better cup of coffee with less fuss WOULD NOT RECOMMEND
Mrs J A WarrinerThe EA9010 makes the choice of drink something you don't have to think about the production of. A clear one touch screen buttons are easy to read and gives you options for black and white coffees. Its clear with icons representing the drinks and begs you to press the button to deliver the coffee you desire. Once you have chosen what you want you get instructions on the screen on the preparation for your drink the options include various black coffees including americano; and on the whites it has the impossible to make with my magnifiica flat white; If you can't find what you want you can do things manually and add it to my favourites.
APJ52DREAM MACHINE FOR COFFEE. I AM IN COFFEE HEAVEN.
philip arrowsmithcouldn’t get one cup of coffee from it, sent it back.

prorokukEasy to use and does everything. Just need to take time to get to know everything.
graham200304Having seen this machine demonstrated in Ideal world, we knew we wanted it! The only real disappointment is so far we find it difficult to get most of the drinks hot enough. Milchkaffee (Cafe au lait), Cappuccino, flat white...We love the taste of the coffee, it is so fresh, and have (with setting favourites) achieved the Latte hot enough and weak enough for me and strong & hot enough for hubby! There is too much froth, despite setting it at zero as default, having specifically bought mugs with 320ml capacity the Latte JUST stops at the brim, so can lift mug without spilling!But...would I buy this again...probably not this model

keitdraise_0perfect coffee every time stay hot froth stays just like you get in coffee shops or better 10/10
scott ramseyYou are reading about this product because you are serious about coffee, but probably not confident about the difference between pre-heating the milk for your cappuccino, latte or cafe au lait etc and steaming it, or can't be bothered with the time consuming business of making your drink and keeping the equipment nice and clean. Well you won't be disappointed with this machine. Its so easy.I previously had an Espresso machine and separate grinder, which was fine but took time. With this machine, once you have loaded your beans in the generous hopper on the top, filled the tank with water, everything else is automatic. I don't think it is any quicker than making manually, but I can be getting on making breakfast whilst the machine is taking care of the drink. It even comes with a couple of glass mugs so that you can see the separate layers of coffee and milk!POSITIVES: you can make loads of different drinks, in different sizes, and set up your own favourite "one button" selections customised just how you like them. It froths the milk in the cup, so no separate thing to worry about keeping clean and hygienic. The machine feels good quality construction, even though the casing is almost all plastic, and everything is accessible from the front. You can bypass the beans hopper with one drink's worth of ground coffee, eg if somebody wants decaf. It warms up quickly - about 1 minute. It will switch itself off if not used for a period - max 2 hours. It grinds your favourite beans the right level of coarseness for the drink you want. It has its own water filter and makes great coffee!NEGATIVES: it needs the drip trays emptying regularly, eg every 2 or 3 drinks, as the cleaning operations dump their dirty water in the larger of two trays. It is no quicker than a manual machine - just that you don't have to be there doing anything. You will probably drink more coffee ...Read full review...
