This is the third one we have had over a 8 year period. The other 2 were cream and got scruffy and the filter went. This chrome and will hopefully stay more pristine. Looks good too.

Looked after this kettle as best I could yet despite this after 2 years the lid has come off (thankfully when I was about to fill the kettle rather than pouring boiling water). Very disappointed. Expected this kettle to last much longer.

Used this for years without issue. Kept water tasting great and kettle did not get limes ale build up. Lovely colour to go with red kitchen.

This is back to basics with kettles, no fancy bits added on, easy to use and clean.

It is a great looking kettle and would look good with any coloured kitchen even our brown & cream colour scheme. It does exactly what it says in the discription, just take care that you don't touch the metal part of the kettle when freshly boiled, it will burn you, so keep out of reach of young children. All in all I am extremely pleased with my purchase.

I have now had two of these, both have developed the same fault within less than a year, with the lid not staying closed. It may seem a minor inconvenience however when the lid pops up the kettle never turns off.

I like having the filter in the kettle. The kettle doesn't fur up with lime scale. The kettle lets you know when the filter needs changing. Its quick to filter and to boil. Its easy to use.

I bought this kettle in December 2015. I had noticed recently that the lid had started popping up occasionally when boiling - and very dangerously had popped open a couple of times when pouring, causing boiling water to be spilled. Today the lid fell off entirely while pouring. Inspection showed that both parts of the plastic hinge had snapped.Kettles should last more than 3 years and they should not fail dangerously.

I have had this kettle for over a month now. I have had a good chance to use it and clean it. The filter does not complete stop Lyme scale build up, but greatly reduced it. The kettle is easy to clean too. Durability is poor, for a Murphy Richards product it is cheaply made, I have just started to get the kit pop open whilst it’s boiling and then it doesn’t stop boiling unless you switch off the power to the kettle! Very disappointed overall!

Does what it should do, pleased with this purchase.

I have used a Brita filter kettle for many years and recently changed my small kitchen appliances to red. I found this kettle on line and was pleased that I could get a kettle in red exactly the same shape and make as I had been using. However, this red kettle is very poorly made. To open the kettle to fill you need to use your finger nail as the open button does not work. The lid randomly pops open when you don’t want it to during boiling. Very dangerous as steam floods the kitchen. To publish this review I had to give the kettle a star rating so had to give it one star. It doesn’t deserve any.Do not buy this kettle it’s dangerous.

Brought this for the office to help manage meeting rooms and coffee rounds for our big team and huge global members at ISC. This is such a fantastic kettle! Boils very very, stays warm and fresh for long time and lasts ages. Saves the stress of constantly having to makes teas and coffees as an admin, minimal disruption and very smooth sailing at the office now. As scientists say we need our caffeine fix and this definitely helps with mental health and well-being. Does exactly what it says on the box!Erin :D

This is a great kettle in hard water areas. It has a larger capacity than some others doing the same job. We tend to fill immediately after use so there is a reservoir of filtered water when you want to boil - otherwise you have to wait for the filter to run through. We haven't experienced the problem with the lid that some reviewers have mentioned, but it still early days.

Brought this for my dad as he loves drinking hot drinks. He lives in a hard water area.Kettle looks great, but takes time to fill. Filters are expensive and do not last long. I have now fitted a permanent filter to the tap and use a standard kettle which works fine

As previous people have said, the lids flips up when this is boiling and sometimes when it has stopped boiling and I am pouring. Really dangerous so I have returned it.
