This is our second Kettle to match the toaster which lasted 3 years and 1 month. Will cut this short. Having done previous electrical tests on the broken kettle I placed the older kettle onto the new kettles base to find the old kettle was working fine. Therefore the BASE was at fault. I have two kettles now.A copper contact had broken off which makes contact with the kettles outer metal ring when in place. You can see this if you look down the side of it.So if you have a friend with the same kettle you could determine which item is at fault.We like the kettle although its a little heavy, expensive, and noisy, it matches our toaster. !Hope this may come of some interest to anyone.

Besides, it is so stylish, it's well worth putting up with!

This along with the toaster look fabulous ! Easy to use , and i hope it lasts a while.. As long as it lasts at least 12 months id be happy to buy another !. The only fault i can find is the opening to the kettle where the little lid comes off is quite narrow to get a brush in to clean lime scale out . As i have quite hard water and limescale builds up quickly it may be slightly annoying to clean often.

Ordered in September 2016, it suddenly stopped working today! So yes although it lasted a little while longer than others have claimed, it still stopped working completely out of the blue. Checked fuse and it wasn’t that, I really thought for the price you pay you get a good quality product. Well this is clearly not the case, just ordered a new one for 10 on ASDA, what a bargain! I personally wouldn’t bother and won’t ever bother buying such an expensive kettle ever again, there’s no need !

I bought this as a wedding gift, and it broke within a few months. However, the manufacturer did send out a new one. I went on to have the same in green and a matching toaster which was great. But replaced it a few years later with the copper kettle and toaster. This has all the different heat settings, it broke after about 5 uses. The supplier refunded, which was excellent and so we bought another kettle in the copper range, without the heat settings. I have had it about 2 months, and it has broken again. Honestly, not sure why I bother spending what is quite a lot of money on a kettle.

I’ve been using this stunning kettle for 6 years and it’s still as new. The design is so beautiful and elegant you just would love making a cupper. This kettle is my favorite piece in the kitchen- besides the fridge freezer, because of its looks and durability. You just need to be careful cleaning it with a soft cloth or sponge so that you don’t cause any scratches to it. It’s been domestically used for years daily and it’s never broken down. The noise is medium I’d say. It adds beauty to any kitchen. I highly recommend it.

After having purchased this product just over a year ago it has recently started switching itself off before coming to a boil, and of course its only guaranteed for a year. I will try and contact Amazon. Very disappointed, I paid nearly £45 for it although I see its being sold now for just under £40. I wouldn't class it as a cheap kettle and didn't expect it to fail at just over as year old

Bought in September. Now 6th November (beyond return window) and its leaking from behind the switch. Previously had a Bosch which lasted 3 years. Case of style over substance with this item I think. Would NOT recommend.

My 2nd one of these. First lasted 6 years of fairly heavy use.

This kettle looks fantastic, However I've recently just returned my second replacement to amazon, constant leaking from the back of the handle.. to the point the water would pour out when it wasn't even half way filled. Amazon customer service has been fantastic as always but I won't be buying kettles based on how they look anymore. For the price i expected higher quality.
