Looks fine and boils quick but the body of kettle gets very hot as its metal. The Handle is fine so its ok when you get used to not touching any other part.

I'm on my third Russell Hobbs Luna Kettle in less than 6 months. The first one the on/off knob fell off. It's weak plastic and it snapped. The second one, replaced by Argos, the blue light that comes on when the kettle is on stopped working. Argos replaced it. I am hoping that this third kettle will be more robust. Apart from that I love the kettle, it boils very quickly and is very quiet. I would have liked the spout to be a bit larger.

The button on the kettle started causing problems sometimes I could switch it on sometimes I couldn't. Now it has started to get stuck and continuously boil sometimes. Then you have to pull the button up yourself. When you do this the kettle spits hot water on your band(boiling). I am out of my years guarantee so can't do anything except warn others. Also not quiet boil.

I bought this kettle because it's advertised as having a very quiet boil. At the time it had lots of high ratings with people raving about how quiet it is! I tried it for 3 days and found it was just as noisy as my old kettle. Customer service at Russell Hobbs advised me I may have got a "dud" and to return it which I did and exchanged for the same model. The second one was exactly the same, noisy! This I also returned and got a different kettle for half the price.

Enticed by the promise of a "quiet boil", it is far from it. Allegedly 75% quieter than other RH kettles. I had a very cheap kettle before so yes it is quieter than that, but not so much that I no longer need to turn the TV up. It does boil much quicker than my old kettle, just as you'd hope for at this price.

This kettle is good looking but the blue light whilst it boils is , I feel , unnecessary! A light on the switch would suffice as on other models. The flip open lid is very useful and makes it easy to fill the kettle. I have had other fast boil kettles and don't feel that this one is any faster or quieter. The level indicator on the side is not easy to see until the kettle is turned on and the blue light appears.

Leaking after 1 year

Don't buy it. Bought just before visit from famil as old Russel Hobbs kettle filter had disintegrated and melted on the element. Prepared the new kettle according to the instructions. The tea tasted awful. Searched the internet, and others found the same problem - should have read the reviews. Boiled it about 20 times, also gave it a good soaking overnight with bicarbonate. Still no joy, same taste. Took it back and replaced with a glass kettle as recommended by the Argos salesperson.

lid does not automatically open fully when button is pressed - need to use hand to open it fully for filling up with water

This is a very smart modern looking kettle that is fast boil . not particularly quiet but i have herd louder ones . so we was happy until after just 5 months it leaked from bottom , we had took back and was given same as replacement so fingers crossed it was just a rouge one we had if leaks again i will update . & no doubt we will choose another make .

The kettle always made the water taste as if it were contaminated with something like glue. The bad taste never left even after a full kettle had been boiled and thrown away numbers of times.

My first kettle leaked, my second kettle lost its quietness and became extremely noisily, I am now on number three and have had to take out extended warranty to protect myself. Buy a cheaper model.

Lovely kettle cannot fault the look. Boils fast and love how it lights up blue when boiling. However this is now my 3rd one since December. The last 2 have both leaked. The first after 6 months of use and the second after less than 3 months of use. I am hoping 3rd time lucky that I can wake up every morning to a dry worktop every morning!

Buy this kettle then return it after a week. This kettle is great for a week then it gives the water a metallic taste I bought it and was very happy with it until this happened I returned it and the assistant said yes we get lost of them back for that? So buy them up and see how long thay keep selling them for

I wanted a quiet boil kettle that fits in with my colour scheme and it did just that. It boils quickly and looks good but after 5 months it leaked badly. I did exchange it for another one exactly the same and hopefully this one won’t leak.

The attempt to purchase via internet was dreadful!!! 3/4 hour and ,ultimately, could only reserve it. Although its characteristics are sound your claim to boil at a lower noise level is not really justifiable.

Loved the look of this kettle. The only problem is it lasted just over 5 months and now is leaking and has stopped working. very dissapointed as this is not a cheap kettle. It is going back

Foolishly bought this for its calm to boil 75% quieter than other kettles. Its a decent kettle with a noise reduction of maybe 10 - 15 % than other kettles

Kettle looked good but leaked around top of copper band within three months. Light domestic use and no maltreatment. Argos very good and changed without question so see how this one goes - but I am taking no chances and filled in the Russell Hobbs extra year guarantee!
