Broke on second use
Reviewed on Amazon.co.uk

I’ve had a GR before, which made a decent cup out in the wilds. This one was bought as a backup, due to fears about the quality of the old ‘O’ ring seals. It broke - as in: no pressure - the second time of use. Normal grind & normal fill.Poor quality-control.

It’s great
Reviewed on Amazon.co.uk

So, this was a Christmas present in 2018, and I used it a lot. Not every day, but certainly several times a week. In July 2019, it started to leak through the pump. I sent a video to Wacaco through their website in USA and I got back a quick reply. They apologised and gave a code for a free replacement through Amazon UK which arrived the next day. That process was very quick and considering I’m in the UK and they’re in the USA, I thought their customer service to be really good. I’ve since then lost a rubber head part down the sink, again they’ve come back to me quickly, telling me I do need them (

So customer service wise I’m very happy. The product itself is brilliant. I love it. Saves me pennies whilst at work, as I go out for decent coffee a lot less ????it is very easy to clean, you just have to get efficient as it can get a little messy once you’ve pumped (residual coffee). But the coffee itself is amazing, don’t overfill the coffee grounds container, make sure you flatten the grounds and none lie on the edges. Espresso grounds are best I find. Do all that and the pumping action flows more freely. I’ve just bought the minipresso tank with 3 extra coffee things as I like my coffee long. So much better as I now don’t have to piss about refilling with water / coffee grounds. So all in all an excellent product. If you go walking with it, yes you’ll need to take a flask of boiling water in order to make a coffee, yes it’s not the lightest product, but if I was walking all day would I bother taking it? Yes I would, absolutely.

Great coffee with a bit of effort
Reviewed on Ebay

Sure it's not as quick as putting a pod in a machine but it sure does make a nice coffee and it's better for the environment. My first experience of making a coffee with this thing was that it was straightforward and with a few more goes I can probably do it quicker. Not for people with weak wrists as the manual pump requires a little bit of effort. We made 2 black Americanos and it was quite possibly the best homemade coffee I've had! It'll make a great addition to our vanlife (when we start)!

Problems when making the 2nd shot
Reviewed on Amazon.co.uk

I bought this product on the recommendation of a friend and while it works, it can be intermittent. When I go to do a second shot of coffee, this is when I have problems. If I am making coffee for 2 people, I find that assembly on the second shot isn't so easy. After emptying, washing, drying, refilling and placing the grind container into the middle section, I find it difficult to screw the outlet section on to the middle section. For some reason it doesn't want to line up and coffee grinds end up in the coffee that comes out. This is without overfilling the basket. Once the outlet section is screwed on securely, the middle section (with the pump) starts to leak from the pump area and squirts hot water everywhere. Sometimes it'll leak from the water tank section or even the outlet section. When this happens I have to rescrew thse sections back on. I've noticed it's done this for a few months now and I received this in Nov 2018. I usually have 1 coffee a day but on the days I make coffee for 2 people, it doesn't work so well and actually makes a bad coffee too.

Each time I've finished making my coffee, I make sure I give the device a run through with no grinds and just hot water, to ensure no coffee water is left in the device. I dismantle it, pump out any excess water in the middle section, vigorously shake the outlet section free of water and leave it dismantled to dry off until next use. But this routine doesn't work when making coffee for 2 people or when making 2 coffees close together.

It's quite disappointing as I really like this device and it does produce a good coffee. The first shot is delicious, but unfortunately isn't consistent with a second coffee:(

An absolute life saver!!!
Reviewed on Amazon.co.uk

This is a fantastic product! As a father to two young children working a day job and a part time job as an on call firefighter that sees me working all hours of the night a compact and mobile espresso press is the best bit of kit in my day to day life! Easy to use and with the ability to put whatever ground coffee your prefer in it (much less expensive than the pod version) this really is the right choice for the sleep deprived who is always on the go. Would be good if the water compartment was insulated but carrying around a thermos of hot water comes in handy to warm little ones bottle too. I never leave the home without it!

Makes a great coffee
Reviewed on Amazon.co.uk

I have used this product for over a year. During this time we have spent much of it travelling and made around 3-4 cups of coffee every day for 400 days, you can make it anywhere you can boil a kettle. We could buy coffee anywhere in Europe that we went as it is standard espresso grinds (this was not the capsule one) and it makes a very good coffee as seen in the photo. Finally after close to 1,500 coffees the seals have worn and it no longer holds pressure. I consider that excellent for the price as it means (including the price of excellent Lavazza coffee) I paid about 10p per cup, less than 4p of which was the machine cost.

Bought this to replace my staresso. have to say ...
Reviewed on Amazon.co.uk

Bought this to replace my staresso. have to say that quality wise in terms of produced coffee are the same. This is smaller, lighter and tougher. With the staresso it was slightly easier to pump the coffee. However I prefer this product. Let's see with the time how it behaves.

Had to replace the staresso because after 2 years the glass broke and there were no replacement parts.

Update. Downgraded from 5 to 2 stars as it broke after 1 week if use. Waiting for refund but I will not buy it again.

Anyway it is way better than espressos from any high street chain coffee shops
Reviewed on Amazon.co.uk

I use it at work to replace the awful coffee from the canteen. At the beginning the coffee was too watery in my view but reducing the amount of water in the water tank the coffee comes creamy and thick. The only issue is the temperature of the coffee itself which is never as hot as it should be. Anyway it is way better than espressos from any high street chain coffee shops. Recommended!

It makes great coffee and it is well built and compact. I like it overall.
The downside is it is quite messy to clean the coffee container. So first coffee is great but if you want to do a second one you will get a bit dirty.
