Quite poor quality, if you want nice waffles you can bake only one and you need to wait 8-10min. After couple of weeks green ligh cover come out ... I don’t like it waste of money...
MarthaI think i had a faulty machine as it barely got hot enough on first time using it and made pale floppy waffles even following full instructions. Then on second attempt I turned heat up to full and had to hold the lid down for nearly 20 mins and still waffles were pale and soggy. Third attempt waffles didn't cook and form shape. I really like Andrew James products normally and have had halogen ovens and kettles from them for years but this product seems faulty from the manufacturing end. Cleaned and returned for full refund
Jude FaulknerAbsolutely dreadful, do not waste your money. I'm baffled as to how this has so many good reviews (although a lot of the pictures are of a different looking waffle maker). The 'ready' light doesn't work as described. It is supposed to come on when the plates have reached sufficient heat, instead my light came on as soon as the machine was plugged in then after a few minutes went off? I had to guess when it was ready. It gives no indication of how full you should fill it with batter, again, I guessed, but didn't overfill. When I shut the lid the batter gushed out of the front and into all the indents around the lights and temperature control. Yuck. The heat distribution on the plates is extremely uneven. The instructions say cook for 'around 5 minutes'. I cooked mine for nearly 15 and they were still half raw. They came out thin and chewy. The thick, fluffy on the inside and crispy on the outside waffles I'd been dreaming of were like a pair of old worn slippers. If you like half raw, thin, chewy waffles with the consistency of an old plimsoll, buy this machine. If not, leave well alone.
Cath MI really wanted a nice thick big waffle, this machine looked like it will do the job, so far have used it 3 times, it's ok but not great, the waffles are not even, while one side will be ok the rest might not be, have to fill it way too much to each nice even waffle and it starts to come out from the top, then it's hard to remove the waffle and the top bit is hard to clean. I guess it will do for now, but wouldn't buy it again or recommend it as it's hard work.
Lora AkbariThe first waffle is easy to make, the mixture bubbles out of the centre and all is well. Unfortunately the top of the funnel gets clogged with cooked waffle mix, so it becomes very difficult to pour in the batter if you want a second one. Difficult to clean, would prefer to have had removable plates. Not as easy to store as they make it out to be, bulky and a bit unwieldy
Neena NavaneethamAlthough the instructions suggest it may smoke a little on first use, it pumped out tons of acrid, foul smelling plastic smoke for 10 minutes and showed no signs of abating. Abandoned and sent back. Our whole flat now reeks of very unhealthy chemicals, and this waffle iron is also probably unsafe. Avoid.
creechitupIm very dissapointed with this. It doesnt cook properly. It cooks really uneven. And on top, since the lid is so light, it doesnt make the dents on half of the top waffle. So you get a half uncooked pancake looking thing on top. I tried different recipes, i tried to hold it down but nothing seemed to work. It just cooks really bad. So to be honest, dont waste your money on this. Im very sad about it.
N. ThewlisIt works very well but the production quality is average. On part of the handle is loose, hopefully it will last longer that till the end of warianty
GregBought as a treat for the kids, item arrived with damaged retain clip. After purchasing the ingredients to make the waffles and two very disappointed kids I had already informed seller. So thought it must still be usable until a replacement has been organised. Wow i was so wrong, as soon the toaster was connected it tropped the main fuse in my fuse box. Still no responsibility from seller after three days
LynseyThe controls are easy to use, but a major flaw with this is that you have to hold the 2 halves together as it cooks which then results in your hands getting scolded by escaping steam. Not good. The instructions mention a clip to keep the lid down but there is not one nor a provision to fit one.
MR I LESTERThis is not as easy to use as suggested. Getting the mixture through the top in the correct quantity doesn’t work well, it does not Cooke evenly and does not do a proper waffle, with some bits thick and other bits too thin... not what I wanted... it’s very disappointing.
Maria BanksThe product is of quality but doesn’t work as I hoped. I am originally from Scandinavia and the waffles we have are crispy on the outside. I put my (egg based) waffle batter in on maximum heat for about 7 min and it still looks raw? (Picture) they should be crispy and dark? Also I noticed there is some vaper behind the LED lights, not sure if this is normal or if I should be worried? (Picture)I am really disappointed with the waffle maker, was really looking forward to some nice crispy waffles to share with my housemates.
Hamza F.This product has truly disappointed me in so many ways. The waffle maker came well packaged. The instructions are clear and easy to follow and that's where my plaudits end.First off the lights are not properly fixed in, they are loosely fitted and run the risk of falling out.More worryingly the instructions clearly tell you to use the locking clasp to lock the waffle maker in place...except there is no locking clasp. This has not been lost not has it snapped off, there simply is no clasp. This means that once the lid closes and the waffles start to cook they start to expand, pushing out hot batter and lifting the lid in the process. The only two ways to keep the lid down is 1. Put something heavy on top or 2. Hold down the handle, which means running the risk of serious steam burns.I am amazed this item has passed H&S checks and frankly should not be sold as a family friendly item (burns from hot batter and steam are not something I want for me or my kids)Returning item as faulty and DANGEROUS.

Update May 2018: The manufacturers were kind enough to give me an AJ Volcano Waffle Maker in lieue of this slow piece of machinery and what can I say - the Volcano is amazing. OK so it's not thin crispy Scandi-style waffles, but big fat Belgian-style ones; one waffle divides into 4 pieces and they are BIG. Also, they cook in 4 minutes flat, which is roughly the time it takes for my kids to eat a waffle, so there's no waiting. The standard recipe is the best; minimal amount of faff, serve up with chopped fruits and you're away. I have a feeling this will be getting a lot of use :-)Was very excited to see a Swedish style waffle maker on Amazon and ordered one for Swedish Waffle Day 2018 (25th of March); gave it a try with an egg-based waffle mix and then again without eggs, which is the Scandi way :-) to get waffles with a crunch, and was sorely disappointed. Not so much by the quality of the waffle itself, but by the fact that it takes about 15 minutes at the highest setting to get them anywhere near decent. As any waffle maker knows, the iron needs to be red hot, and a waffle should take 5-7 minutes to get the right sort of bite; waffles are considered fast food in Sweden, something you can just whisk up and serve up when you're in a rush. If that's what you're looking for, stay well clear of this one. They come out looking and tasting the part and if you have half a day to cook them then fine, but I think I might be returning this machine. Shame, but I don't have ten hours to spare for what is essentially flour and milk.

Used a couple of times worked perfectly. Third time of use and the waffles began sticking which caused them to fall apart when opening the lid. With a bit of spray oil this does sort this out though. We get perfect waffles with 5 mins on medium heat setting. Do not open the waffle maker before then or they will ruin!
Yolo88This product has one element in the middle and only heats the centre of the waffles I would not purchase again or recommend
jhh1979I got a toaster waffles, but I'm happy because it thundered and turned it does not work now :(
