“DO Not BUY” disappointedI used for a short time but stopped working so contact with seller about the returnSeller is not responsible and didn’t send me any return label
Mrs. M. DThis product has a dangerous design fault. The handle design, moulded into the plastic casing, is practically impossible to grip properly and after a week of trying to manage a way to move it around and dropping it every so often the base broke off exposing wires. I have stopped using it and trying to return to seller without success but others may use it in this dangerous condition, especially people with children. I will be trying to contact the department that takes care of safety standards to try and get it added to a list of products that should be recalled.
devjani coxThe "silent mode" is not that silent. Need to turn up the volume on the TV when the fan is on.
ROCAKept stopping for no reason. Had to return. Wheres the quality control? Avoid.
Mr. S. A. SutherlandThis is a powerful 3KW oscillating heater that can heat up a 5m x4m room very quickly. However it is by no means quiet as the advert suggests. The fan is obviously powerful but even on quiet mode it produces an annoying background drone that can be heard in adjacent rooms. I would not recommend this heater for use in a bedroom or any living area. Ok for kitchen, workshop or similar.
KENNETH JOHNSONNot so quiet at all
Mrs. Karen HodgsonNoisy!
favourite mummyDo not waste your money on this heater, it's absolutely rubbish. It's the noisiest unit ever and the 'silence system' is a joke. The heater isn't as effective as other products, it's total junk and should not be allowed to be sold. De'Longhi is a good brand in general, but they should give all consumers their money back for this product. Junk, Junk, Junk..... do not buy one.
Iwan JonesHi my heater makes a whirring sound ticking noise every couple of minutes. They may be something wrong with this?
Amazon CustomerThis heater is utter rubbish! It cuts out after a couple of minutes despite the room being freezing cold. And I'd like to see the person who can pick up the bloody thing up without instantly dropping it!...... I can only assume the people in the Delonghi R&D department have different hands to the rest of us.
James LambUsed it twice for short period of time and is broken in 3 months.
Attila G.Supposed to be silent but very noisy!! Would not recommend
Amazon CustomerI have had 2 of these now and both have failed after 6 mounths not used every day bout a couple of days. Mounth just not made as strong as Shuld be
Andrew James GilbertThis item should not be advertised as is, it is very noisy and speed control was none existant. Very poor example of a fan heater
adzyywallyyAlthough it says it's quiet on the information, it's not very quiet at all. May need long time to get a good heat source as well
WhatsthisRubbish heater and not worth the money .It blows coldish air on both low settings and not very good on full power, The self turning swivel for the heater was rubbing and making a noise (plastic on plastic rubbing ) and the heater itself is loud not quiet , is annoying sound ...would not recommened this heater
austinLooked to be good, but not very impressed. Oscillating helps, but you really have to watch what temperature you put it on, otherwise it is constant, or just switches off. Very stiff cable connecting to the electrics. Awful handle to try and lift up or move. Very expensive on the electric, so be aware.
Mrs AJWIf this is a quiet fan heater, I would hate to have a noisy one! Apart from that it is OK.
Mr. S. Lees-milneBought this as a standby heater just in case for winter. When tested it it gave off very little heat so we sent it back.
David NicholsonIt seems to take a little while to get to full heat, but when it does, it's what you'd expect for a 3kw heater. However, quiet? Hmm, well I've heard louder fan heaters, but I've also heard a lot quieter - we have one in the office for when we're working late and the building heating is off, also a DeLonghi which is much quieter; sadly I couldn't find another one of those. It's not bad enough that I'm sending it back, but putting "quiet" in the product name is a bit... cheeky in my view, especially as it's somewhat more expensive than a basic fan heater.
Something that may freak you out when it first happens is that the oscillation motor seems to be on a completely separate circuit from the heater circuit. So if you turn the heater off, it keeps oscillating in a rather creepy, zombie-like way. No big deal, but seriously, when you catch it out of the corner of your eye when you thought it was off, it will weird you out!
I'm also amused by the label "style" down the side. Unless you have a penchant for seriously kitschy dieselpunk, there's no way this or pretty much any fan heater is stylish. But it's just a fan heater - who cares? ;)
Overall: it'll do the job but the noise makes it a disappointment at the price.
