broken after one week
Reviewed on Amazon.co.uk

I bought the item thinking was good to spend a bit more for a more reliable product. But it actually stopped working after one week after barely using it.I only managed using the heater a couple of times and worked fine. Then I wanted to use the cool fan and realised it's not switching on anymore at all. Can't believe I had to go the Hemres point to get my refund.I still wanted this product but a new one as I understand products can be faulty so I contacted Dyson directly to see if they were able to bring a new one to my place so they could take the broken back. They refused to, meaning they don't believe in their own product. So I asked for the refund and I will look for another brand.

Is this a ornament or a fan?
Reviewed on Amazon.co.uk

I have a pregant wife and currently we are coming into the summer so she demanded I buy a fan and not just any fan but the super fancy Dyson one because apprantly they are the best.....As I am a keen reviewer of my own purchases I read some of the reviews others had left for this item before buying and they were not that favourable and to be honest I was dubious about the design but the wife was likely to stab me in my sleep if I didn't buy the Dyson so I bought it.It arrived and was a 90 second set up. It became apprant pretty much immediately that the maximum cooling setting on the Dyson fan wasn't even as powerful as the lowest setting on a old cheap tower fan I have. But I am not stupid so I left the wife with it for a day so she could come to her own conclusions and she admitted herself that it's hopeless.I am not just saying this as I do like Dyson vaccum cleaners but this is possibly the worst fan by any brand I have ever come across and have no idea why others like them and can only assume they like the brand and the design rather than the actual function.I don't mind paying for quality if I get good performance and value for money but this "fan" is none of those things and it appears Dyson is going the way of Apple chosing design over actual function and if I wanted a £350 lump of plastic that does nothing I would have at least bought something that looks nice. It's entirely your choice of course but please don't be tricked into thinking "oh it's a Dyson therefore its good" because it's really not.We have since bought the best selling no name (Chinese) tower fan on Amazon for sixty quid and it's like night and day compared to the Dyson and I am saving the lions share of £300.

Good heater but Very poor cooler
Reviewed on Amazon.co.uk

I've had this a month, bought for my conservatory. It's a decent heater, it warms up a large space well. However, Warning, if you need something to keep you ICE COOL on those hot days then don't bother, this is as good as a ten pound desk fan, It seems to have no cooling elements at all, really not worth the ridiculous price tag.And if you crank the fan above 2 (Power settings go from 1 low to 10 High) it is rather noisy.

A little disappointed.
Reviewed on Amazon.co.uk

I am working in the attic in a converted room during this Covid period and it gets very warm during Summer months. I opted for a Dyson as a good investment as I thought it would be leagues better than any fan but after first use, I'm not at all over-whelmed. We are barely reaching 20 degrees outside and I feel I need the fan on full 10 in cool mode with direct jet flow onto me. I think it throws the air further than a fan but as far as cooling is concerned, I'm not convinced. I might have been expecting too much and should have opted for an air conditioning unit but with the elevated price of this heater/cooler, I thought there would be some sort advanced technology that got the temperature right down to cool.I might be using it wrong and there are other settings that I'm missing but I don't think so. £350-400 is a lot of money for what you're getting I'm afraid.

Overpriced and surprisingly loud!
Reviewed on Amazon.co.uk

Vastly overpriced. I've been considering buying one of these for years so after completing a garage conversion which needed heating and couldn't be connected to utilities, we purchased one. Without a remote, which needed to be bought separately, temperature control is clunky as you have to cycle through the temperature using one button. The room heated up quickly but for a fan/heater of this price, we expected something quieter; this is not the fan to have in an office space. We have a Honeywell desk fan that's much quieter! I can't comment on the air cooling setting as bought this is the depths of winter and returned it the same day. An oil filled radiator from a well known 'never knowingly undersold' department store that cost a third of the price was purchased instead is now (silently) doing the job instead.

Didn’t function as we wanted it to
Reviewed on Amazon.co.uk

We sent this back as we wanted it to gently heat a small bedroom at night. I thought a fan would stay on while a thermostat controlled the temperature so the noise of the fan would stay constant, but instead the fan switches on and off making the room quite hot, switching off letting the room get cold, before switching on again. I went for a heater advertised as having a thermostat accurate to 0.1 degrees and it switches on and off silently , for about 70 quid. But if you want a sleek looking fan & have bags of cash, go for it.

Works well in a 10m x 5m workshop
Reviewed on Amazon.co.uk

I decided to bite the bullet and buy this expensive heater to see if it would better heat our classroom workspace. The space is roughly 10m by 5m with a fairly high rough space. I was looking to use less oil heaters and wondered how the dyson would work. If I leave it on for an hour before class then the workplace becomes comfortable and I can heat the entire room using just a single heater. I now hope that the heater proves econmic to run and will save me back some of its cost in lower bills but I am yet to be billed for this quarter,

Reviewed on Argos.co.uk

What a piece of kit the amo9 dyson is it’s sleek stylish and even on the low fan setting it warms up quiet a big room fast the fan is noticeable but not intrusive as the levels go up it then starts to get noisy I have only used the heat side of it so can’t review on the cooling side yes very expensive but I love it also the fact you can go up by degrees for temperature the oscillating and tilting is a real bonus thank you argos and of course dyson

dyson heater
Reviewed on Argos.co.uk

Fully heats a 12'x13' room. Not sure it would fully heat a room much bigger. It would be handy if the heater had controls on the machine its self and not only the the remote control. You would be snookered if you lost it. Takes up very little space. Overall very good.
