TargetingSittingDuck..It's ok but its not that quiet to have as an under the desk heater.
Mb2Bnot as whisper quiet as claimed. Heater seems to work well but is very lightweight and "plasticy".Bracket is easy to fix to the wall but doesn't clip on to heater - I added a spacer under the base of the heater and then it clicked into place so just a bad design really.
lisaI like this fan.. especially for the sound level which is fairly quite. Easy to use as I previously purchased another fan that was sold on its silent sound value... which was not the case.
Foxy2715Arrived promptly please with purchase
Dieselalways makes a lound noise despite the manufacturer claims that it is quiet. Yes, it is quiet but it is quiet only when I turn it off.
Andriagood product - little noisy - could have done with a remote with it - and possibly in white
Z J.Very good.
Amazon Customerbest one i have bought, fitted it in my t5 camper.only need it on lo setting amasing.very liitel noise from a fan heater.looks good as well.dont let the smell put u off ,once the new coatings burnt off its ok .
Amazon CustomerI rate this highly. I use one on my boat and another at home. It has been reliable (one is now 8 years old) but most important is the whisper quiet setting. This fan heater is quiet compared to all other models I have tried. I have even bought a spare in case the company stops making them.
PHILWorks well, fairly quiet, certainly low on vibration, more an air rush which is fine. Definitely seems (so far) a cut above budget fires
Davembkgreat little heater, arrived prompt too..smaller then i expected but packs a punch..would deffo reccomend
LIL MEGreat fast heater. Not super quiet but better than previous heaters.
LCLove it, costs almost double most other fan heaters but it is well built, sturdy and sleek looking. It is also whisper quiet compared to most others and has 3 fan settings and a temperature dial. Good stuff, just in time for winter!
Mike QAutumn has arrived and the change in temperature has been palpable. One week it was lovely but the following week the thin red line in the thermometer plummeted. My wife still had some end of season gardening to do but she said the shed was far too cold – it was time to give the new fan heater a test drive. The first thing that I noticed when taking it out of its box was that, for a fan heater, it is a good looking machine. Coming in a attractive shade of grey (officially called anthracite grey, but it doesn’t look coal coloured to me!) and being quite thin it is much more classy looking than the average fan heater. Being constructed in a hard, strong plastic it is probably lighter than the average fan too. Because it was so different from any other fan I have owned or used in the past I was a little concerned that it may be a case of all looks but no substance but I needn’t have worried because whilst I wouldn’t rate this has being the best fan I have used it is certainly effective. After less than five minutes on full blast – the highest temperature setting, 2000 watts – the chilliness has gone from the shed and my wife was content to potter about with.the heater on its lowest setting, 1000 watts. My wife always feels the cold so I have taken this to be a thumbs up for the fan.We don’t intend to use this fan in the house (we have attached it to the wall of the shed using the clip-on bracket) so noise isn’t really a factor that concerns us, but on the lowest setting the noise is fairly minimal, but even on the highest setting it isn’t too bad being no worse, probably a little better, than most competing fan heaters on the market.Overall I would have qualms about recommending the Honeywell HZ-500E, and the price, whilst relatively high for a fan heater, is a fair one considering the quality of the item.
Bantam DaveCompared to some other fan heaters on the market, this one has a fairly smart design. Obviously if I were to compare it to the Dyson range, the Honeywell would be less in favour design wise, however the price gap is far too big to compare. Although it looks smart, it is actually a bit larger in size than I thought it was going to be. I don't think photo on the box helps as it doesn't really show off the correct proportion of the main unit. Rather than judging by the photo, I should have really looked at the dimensions: 28 x 18 x 35 cm (11 x 7.1 x 13.8 inches). ♦ Box Contents ♦ ∙ HZ-500E Fan Heater with fixed cable. ∙ Wall Mount.* ∙ 3x Screws & Wall Plugs. ∙ Instruction Manual. * The wall mount places the heater in a fixed position. ♦ Set-Up & In-Use ♦ If you're not wall mounting the main unit, I would recommend removing the wall mount from it as the vibrations will may move the unit. Controlling the fan/heater is very simple; it uses two dials which are located on the top: - Left Dial: ∙ Fan (Cold). ∙ Off. ∙ Heat (1000W). ∙ Heat (1200W). ∙ Heat (2000W). - Right Dial: ∙ Thermostat: You will need to turn this up before the unit will properly turn itself on, this goes when using it for cooling or heating purposes. There's no max temperature marked on the thermostat dial, so is quite hard to judge where to adjust the dial to depending on what temperature you want it to cut out on. ♦ Results & Final Thoughts ♦ I've got to say, the heater function heats up VERY quickly and it does a great job of pumping out hot air. In a mid-sized bedroom this does a superb job at heating the room, but larger rooms such as a dining room, not so much. That said if you're cold, you could always point it your direction (if it's not wall mounted). An important bit of information to tell is that when using this for the first time with the heating feature, there is an unpleasant smell that comes with it. Since using it, the smell has weakened slightly, however I think I need to use it a bit longer for it to go away. Using it as a fan, it does produce a nice cool flow, however it would be better if the unit could oscillate. Noise levels are perfectly acceptable. Whilst there isn't a setting where the sound is really quiet, I didn't find the noise to be annoying, even when on the highest heat setting. Overall, this is definitely a product I would recommend.

MyKeyReviewsHeats up a room very fast. Can be left on at night with its thermostat
lianghhLITTLE======This little heater didn't look like much in the box. I thought it's not going to throw out much heat.I was very pleasantly surprised. It's much better than you'd think.FOOTPRINT=========A small footprint. Doesn't take up much space at all.WALL MOUNTED============I haven't done this but it does say it's an option. I don't think it'd look nice though. (On a wall)COOLS TOO=========It can just blow cold air. Not very well, It's best as a heater not a fan.NICE LOOKING============It's rather a fine looking heater. Solid and well made.WHISPER QUIET=============Well.... hmmmmnn.... no. It's not noisy. Far from it.. but to suggest it's whisper quiet is a marketing man's exaggeration.OVERALL=======If you're after a small heater to heat an average sized room up quickly. This is one to put on the shortlist.
???? TheLambanana ????Quick to heat, powerful, easy to store. The one downside is that the base connection is flimsy and it falls often. It's not a concern since we mostly use it in a room with a wooden floor however if it was a carpet I would be concerned.
