Disliked and sent back because it arrived with a continental plug fitted!!!
JackiBPreviously had the same model that had lasted many years and we had been extremely pleased with, so when finally needed to order a new one we were happy to order the same model from Amazon again. Replacement arrived promptly only to open the box and find it is a European model with only a 2 pin plug, therefore not suitable for UK use! Would be a great item if UK model had been sent! Reboxed and returned 10 mins after delivery, so not happy!
Oliver M.This is not a UK plug. Very annoying.
LondonMumnot very effivient for a medium size room
JacquelineBuild quality not ideal... Main switch broke after a couple of months
Amazon customer❌⛔????❌Be aware that wall sockets get extremely hot. It's an effective heater, BUT it has now damaged 2 electrical wall sockets causing cracking and burn marks. Needless to say I won't be using it again. This wasn't used on the highest setting or kept on. Do not leave unattended.
angelan247Not impressed! Ordered for use in small bedroom as thought upright shape would take up less space. Poor heat output and made a really annoying buzzing noise when running, especially when placed on hard flooring. Returned to Amazon and ordered Dimplex flat fan heater instead, which is excellent.
Stephen WDon't buy this. Really, do not buy this s*** product. If there is anything wrong with it, you won't be able to open it without professional tools. ASnd you'll have to open it sooner as you want.
veit thalerLooks good, but pumps out minimal heat. I say heat, but actually it's more like warm air. I have to have it a foot away from me to even feel the warmth. Any further away and it actually feels like it's blowing cold air.The other issue I have with it, is that you can't pick it up with one hand. The gap at the back where you would put your finger is way too shallow. Very poor design...
The Royal Philatelic Society LondonThis heater is really loud and rattles - it is almost unusable. Do not buy if you want to put on a wooden floor as it is really very noisy. It also light and looks pretty cheap.Unfortunately I have thrown out the packaging so cannot return it.
OakleafSeems to do the job well enough. Should point out here that as these devices are very expensive to run it is very rarely used.
Brian DuvalIt has 2 settings, or 3, if you include fan only. On the low heat setting, it never goes off, but on the high, it never stays on. I don't know if I've just got a dud one, but on 'High' it runs for about one minute, before smelling of burning, and stopping. After that, it won't go on again for ages. I assume this must be the safety cutout feature, as it certainly can't be that thermostat temperature has been reached.Arguably, it MIGHT be saving me money that it won't run on High. But I'd still like the option of sometimes running it on High for brief periods (by "brief", I don't mean one minute), instead of having it on low all the time. When it's really cold, low isn't enough.I suppose it's a case of getting what you pay for.
amazon13313It's small compact and works. A little noisy and could do with a carrying handle. Other than that pretty much as I expected.
Mr. N. J. FarmerNoisy and medium build quality. I used this heater for about three months when the On/Off switch broke. It turns out that it's made of plastic with no metal ring around the area where it fits on to the switch/heat controller. I thought that this was a basic design flaw - any one else had the same problem or is it just me being unlucky?
ArvindSales of these heaters must be good news for our stricken power companies; providing much needed revenue increases during an unseasonably mild Winter. On the one kilowatt setting the fan makes a pleasant white noise that could help reduce the irritation of noisy neighbours. It also provides a little heat, though insufficient to cause discomfort on the warmest of days. Be careful with the higher setting though as this will eventually warm up a small room. Heat distribution is quite effective. The aesthetics of the design are obviously of importance to the manufacturer and I am sure that this justifies the failure to knurl the knobs on the top of the unit. This could be a significant economy feature as the knob used to turn on and select heat settings is too stiff for the more frail user to operate.Cheap to buy, well made, nice to look at, what more could you want?
Darrin StephensOK in a confined space, which is what it was bought for, ie my daughter's room at Kings College, which, is about 11ftx11ft approx. We tried it out in our kitchen ( approx 18x10 ft) a couple of times and it seemed a bit "lost" had to keep moving it closer. No carrying handle which would be useful. Because of it's shape, one has to lift from beneath to avoid it slipping through the hands.Thin plastic case. I should imagine that it would not take much bashing about.
MichaelThe controls are very stiff, and the fan is somewhat noisy. Unless the thermostat is set far too low or far too high, the fan keeps switching itself on and off. And of course, it is very expensive to run compared with gas heating.
andyThis heater works, is a neat size and is relatively quite. However, it is only 2kw and not the 2.4kw advertised.

The De'Longhi HVY1030 features a mode selector with a choice of cool or hot air, providing a cool air facility for summer use. The adjustable thermostat automatically maintains the desired termperature, while the frost protection function avoids the temperature falling below 5°C. An overheat safety cut-out offers further piece of mind. This unit comes with an integrated handle and cord storage, fitted plug and a 12-month manufacturer's guarantee.
