Have not had this long enough to make an objective judgement but so far I have found the product easy to use and understand. I have only made medium size ordinary loaves and also French loaves and they have been ok but the texture in both cases has been denser than my previous bread maker that I had for over twenty years. The Morphy Richards is quicker and probably uses less electricity and I will, no doubt, get used to it. As my review title says, only time will tell!
AnotatorI did not like this product.
JetDefloorBought this product with high hopes Unfortunately didn't live up to the positive review I had read before buying,in the past have-owned a Panasonic and I know there is a big price difference, but one machine makes fantastic bread, the other doesn't, If I had known this before purchasing could have saved myself a load of money, don't waste your money As the saying says by cheap buy twice Certainly correct in this instance [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
JenellcasThe fast bake setting ,does not cook the bread. Raw dough in the middle. The kneading tool gets stuck in the bread and leaves not only a whole, but is uncooked around it. Beeps between stages loudly,so couldn't cook bread overnight. Will be return,

Boostill getting used to it but not as easy as my last one
CatwomanBread fine but Shaft seal fails, leaks water and whole shaft drops out Retracting paddle doesn't half the time and that falls apart to so I used a simpler one from an earlier machine. I regret getting a second machine. Seed bin broke in two and was never reliable at dropping contents at the right time. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
jon3333333333333333333333It’s a great machine that’s easy to use but it does not brown the bread on the top so very pale dough colour. Results are hit and miss even when you follow ingredients measurements and receips to the letter e.g I have had bread made and the machine did not mix the ingredients properly and you could still see the raw white flour
JJUnobtrusive in the kitchen, looks good. And does what it says on the box !
TheloaferI am a little disappointed that the blade sticks and the crust does not come out dark
BenI'm not supposed to mention competitors or the price I paid but I am so disappointed in the quality of the bread produced that I am going to save up about twice as much in order to purchase the expensive updated version of my previous bread maker. Thought I should economise. How wrong can you be?
SusanThe cooker came and we noticed the lead was not shutting properly, it is also really big which causes problems with a small kitchen. Argos was great and refunded the payment and picked it up.
JakeIf you are buying this for the fast bake option do not waste your money. Bread comes out half risen and half baked. The basic white is not much better as it is poorly risen and dense. Cutting down on programme time does not turn out a good result. A decent rapid will take 2 hours and a good basic white will take 4 hours.
dissapointedCan’t put it back to zero, to make a second loaf first one was a complete faliure,
Husqvana1Had a Murphy Richards bread maker for 20 years until the spindle broke. It was fantastic. So I bought this new one and it was rubbish. The bread was flat and uncooked inside on 6 trials. Took it back and exchanged it but problems still persisted. Flat uncooked bread. Now have a different make, Russell Hobbs and it is brilliant.
SteveI had to return this unused because I consider far too heavy for domestic use. I was at fault for not checking the weight but it so heavy. I could hardly lift it.
ROSEMARYI've followed the instructions to the T and bough all the top wuality ingredients but I've had two attempts at making a wholemeal loaf and on both occasions the loaf had only risen about 2 inches. I managed to do a white loaf OK but even then it was large load and it didn't rise above the level of the baking tin.
GrayHamThis replaces my 8 year old Morphy Richards Compact bread maker . Though I had to replace the pan twice, it made very good bread. Same recipes with this bread maker but bread is of a much coarser texture . My first attempt with the wholemeal recipe resulted in the bread rising then collapsing in the middle. I will keep trying but am really disappointed ..
GranHaving had a bread maker for many years the first two of which were Morphy Richards I was surprised to find this model so different... I am gluten free and am very much aware that my bread will not be the same as normal bread. The method of loading the ingredients for all loaves and cakes in this machine is so different from previous machines, mixing ingredients before loading and liquids first. The loaves do not brown on top regardless of how brown the are on the side. Disappointing.
CraftyMy first attempt ended in having to throw the bread away, I followed the instructions, but it came out hard.
mondieThe Morphy Richards Fastbake Breadmaker makes creating wondrously tasty and nutrition-packed home-baked bread as simple as ever. Featuring 12 pre-set programmes and three adjustable crust settings, home baking is no longer a chore and rustling up a loaf to be proud of can be done in as little as 58 minutes. A 13 hour delay timer allows for overnight baking and a keep warm function means you can have your loaf when you are ready, not when it is.
