Although available on Amazon.co.uk and not mentioned in the description this has an EU plug. This is very disappointing as several buyers confirmed in the comments they received a U.K. plug and it is not clear from the description. I should not have to cover the cost of returns or buying an adaptor because the seller sent an item which is not fit for purchase in the U.K.The grinder is also much smaller than it looks so please keep this in mind if you are lucky enough to have an EU power supply and do decide to purchase. It is overpriced at £45.
D Ago for conical burr grinder for a more consistent grind. This grinder produces a lot of fine particles and has inconsistent grind

Amazon CustomerI liked the packaging, not too much, and mostly recyclable, but was disappointed that it didn't come with a UK plug. If that information had been in the description I would have bought one at the same time.
J. SkillenBrilliant buy. I bought this after my old one finally gave up the ghost. I looked at several, and this one has been a wise investment.
louise rixonIt's a good product but is not grinding coffee fine enough for moka coffee maker (
Daniela UKStopped working....what else can you say
Mark DohertyThe finest setting is very coarse. Not good for espresso.
JuanIt's cheap and so I wasn't expecting much. It did the job. However, it stopped working after 6 months so I have to say its not much good.
C. SuttonGreat compact grinder. The settings are very good as I use a fine grind for espresso. Easy to clean and the blade component feels very strong and solid once it's clicked back in position after cleaning.
jasonThis is an easy to use machine and does it great job at grinding to different grades. Adjustments are easily made to the fineness of the grind by a simple numbered adjustment wheel.I am giving a four star marking because I am unsure as to the longevity of the plastic bean hopper. Also, don't try to hold a conversation whilst the machine is in operation! It is, however, better than other machines that I've tried.
filoxenosThis is a really good grinder. Although buried deep in the instructions there is a note that it is not suitable for espresso, I am finding it fine - producing a good fine coffee for my Dualit espresso machine. The ceramic burr seems to be very hard and I'm sure it will last. No clogging at all.
PeterI was looking for a burr grinder but as I'm the only member of our family who appreciates fresh ground coffee I could not justify spending £70+ on the better rated grinders. I'd never heard of a disk grinder before let alone the Severin brand.Having read the reviews (all of which were 5 stars at the time of purchase) I took a punt.I have to say I'm delighted with this grinder. Being a mechanically minded bloke I generally don't read manuals but did take the trouble with this as there is not much to it. I washed all the removable parts as recommended but could not get the bean hopper off. I did not want to force this for fear of breaking it. My unit came pre-wired with a European plug and fitted with a UK adapter. Not ideal but at least it was supplied fitted.Once everything was nice and clean I plugged it in, set the grind dial to '1' for the finest grind and filled the hopper with my current favourite dark roast beans. The slider on the front of the unit sets the time the grinder runs for. It's a little hit and miss but it's fine for me. Hitting the power button on the front starts the grind. This is not as noisy as some grinders I have seen but scares the dog all the same. With a little finessing of the slider on the front I can now grind the exact amount of coffee for one cup. This works flawlessly time after time.Only real negative points are that the unit can be a bit messy. The ground coffee clings to the plastic dispenser due to the static electricity generated by the grinding process. This can result in spilled coffee if you are not careful. Hopefully this will subside over time. My only other slight niggle is that I feel the rubber seal between the machine & the dispenser could be a bit better as tiny amounts of ground coffee seems to escape at that point and clings to the front of the machine. All in all I am very impressed with this disk grinder.Pros:* Constant grind time after time* Able to produce a very fine grind* Very compact* Well made (despite a lot of plastic)* Very easy to use* Good sized hoppe
goVery disappointing. Incredibly, this burr grinder does not have fine enough grind settings for an espresso machine. We sent it back for a refund.
PaulS_NZThis machine worked really well for 7 months but has now given up the ghost. Very frustrating!
PaulVery easy to use with dials for time of grinding and settings for fineness of grind. Also easy to clean. My first coffee grinder so cannot compare to others but quick and easy to use and suits me because of this
Mr. J. BlakeI just received the grinder (very fast delivery, six days from the order!).I had to buy a plug adapter in order to use it in our Eu socket - you need to carefully read the product's description - and did some test runs.I do not know if the fine grind will be fine enough for Turkish (or even stove top espresso maker), and I think it's fine enough for drip coffee, but anyway I needed it for French press hot brew and concentrated cold brew coffee. And yes, I think the coarse grind is good enough for that purpose, starting from the adjustment step 7 to 9.You can adjust how coarse you want the grind to be on the lateral scale from 1 to 9 (1 being the finest grind) with 0.5 steps in between. You can adjust how much coffee do you need to grind by moving the adjustment lever on the front. I found the right position for an average of 16 grams, and the grinding process for a cup of coffee took only some seconds - the machine stops automatically. If I'll need to make several cups, I'll push the on/off button several times (until I'll figure out a better way to do it). It's a (somewhat) repeatable process, and this is good news.About the the grind consistency - the grinding results in variable sized particles, but it's quite consistent - see the picture I made for the 9th level of coarseness on a A4 sheet of paper, and what you see there is a 5 mm ID washer.Al in all, it seems to be a good coffee grinder, so you could add me to the other satisfied reviewers.

This was my second attempt and buying an electric coffee grinder after I had returned another one I tried. I had been using a manual hand grinder for months and months and decided to go electric.I use this in combination with a cafetiere and I have started buying beans now as it is supposed to make better coffee and the whole idea of beans is you are supposed to used them straight after you have ground them, if not, you might as well just buy ground coffee as there is a huge range of this available on the market.I first tried one of the cheaper and simpler ones that just had a little pot at the top with a blade in, which is no good if you wish to grind beans for one cup and use the coffee straight away. It was messy and awkward to use.I got a refund on that one, and got this one instead. This one is much better:1. It has options to select how much coffee to grind, so you only grind what you are going to use then and there, perfect for one cup, or up to ten2. It's very fast, it grinds enough coffee for one cup in literally a couple of seconds3. You can select how course/fine it grinds the coffee to suit your needs, this also removes any user error once you have it setup to your needs4. Due to the above, your coffee is ground at a consistent grade (no big lumps)5. Coffee ends up in a removeable collection tray, which is much less messy6. Mine even came with a UK plug adapater ready fitted, plug and playI believe this is of German design, and they are big in to coffee over there and I think it shows through this product.
RichExcellent product, grinds the bean exactly to your liking for the perfect cup every time.
Mr Simon NicoleGrinding thickness adjustment.
