don’t buy this item if you want heat , it’s just a warm flow coming out the front and a lot of air out the back , i got it for a small workshop but it’s not delivering any heat unless you hold it 6 i from you and stand in front of it , definitely not as advertised

Heater with no heat
Reviewed on Amazon.co.uk

I have recently moved house and bought this heater for the garage but, as it wasn't needed for a while ( still warm weather ) I didn't check that the heater worked . Used it for the first time two days ago and there's NO heat coming from it . The blower is fine but the heater element is broken .

Good Solid Heater
Reviewed on Amazon.co.uk

Bought this to heat my garage. Does seem easy to use, sturdy and we'll built. As others have mentioned it does take a while to heat up. This I think is due the fan blowing so much air over the elements. I'm considering a mod to slow the fan down for a preset time to allow the elements to heat up fully.

Used two in a 6m x 4m marque for Christmas dinner, worked a treat, very quiet and unobtrusive. Extra bonus is that we can use them fan only in the summer. For the price i can't complain, they do what you expect them to do.

REPLACMENT RECEIVED 4TH JULY SO HERE IS HOPING PURCHASE DOESNT TURN INTO A 2 YEAR LEASE! 3rd HEATER HAS NOW PACKED IN AFTER 8 MONTHS, WITH SAME TOTAL LACK OF HEATING, SO HAVE DECIDED TO EVENTUALLY GIVE UP AND LOOK FOR SOMETHING OF BETTER QUALITY.

Well built and sturdy device, does what is expected of a 3KW fan heater
Reviewed on Amazon.co.uk

arrived safely packaged and within a reasonable time frame. Excellent product, looks to be well made, and durable. I use it to heat up a double garage, though it wont heat it up very much it certainly takes the chill out of the air. I have only ever used it for about 30mins at a time on max settings and it does warm up the nearby area enough to be able to do some work in the garage. I compared it to a 2KW Stanley brand fan heater from screwfix which was total crap. This is fit for purpose and I would recommend if you intend on heating up a small brick built garage or workshop. The controls are easy to use and the cord is long enough. Also it has small rubber bits on the bottom in contact with the ground which probably dampen any vibrations and is a good design idea. It has a single sturdy handle built into the body of the device which helps you transport it. Overall well built and sturdy and a lovely gloss red colour.

Very good but quite costly to run.
Reviewed on Amazon.co.uk

This is a highly competent drum heater that suffers only from the amount of electricity it uses. The IG9301 is very simple to operate. On the left is a power dial whilst on the right is another to control the thermostat. There are two heat settings (2 and 3 KW) as well as a cool setting. The unit itself (as well as the pleasingly analogue controls) are very robust and it feels like it is constructed for commercial use. It's slightly smaller than it looks (being about a foot cubed), but very powerful. I only tried the heat settings briefly as we are currently in the middle of a fairly hot spell. The cool setting, on the other hand, was a godsend (especially as temperatures here soared to 29 degrees). It is far better than any desk fan I've used and comfortably cools an area of around 2m by 1m.The only downside is the electrical expense to run it. On the 2KW setting our electricity soared from 2p an hour (for the rest of the house) to 18p an hour and on 3KW it was up to 27p. It is good for warming larger areas quickly, but unless they are well insulated (and as, unlike central heating/oil-filled radiators it doesn’t retain any heat when off) you may well be better in the long run looking for something more economical to run. For example, say you have a studio and work 8 hours per day there during winter, this would cost £29 per month on the 2000w setting and £43 per month on the 3000w setting (based on a 5 day week and assuming you have it on constantly whilst there).Note: as it uses so much electricity then using it with an extension lead isn’t recommended (unless you have one that can cope with the power—even then it will most likely need to be fully unwound to prevent the cable overheating).

Sturdily made, but doesn't move enough warm air
Reviewed on Amazon.co.uk

This is an appealing heater for areas such as garages and sinilar sized workshops. Sturdily built, it feels built to last, and the power cord, whilat adaquate, is not over generous in length.Heating ability is pretty good, but perhaps little less than you might expect from a heater with industrial pretentions. It also operates as a fan cooler, but it's pretty weedy to be honest. So long as you haven't got a particularly draughty workshop, you should be okay, but I didn't find it heated as well as I expected, mainly as it doesn't shift enough volume of heated air. It's certainly a step up from a standard fan heater, but not a big enough step up, in my opinion. You might well want a bigger heater than this.

Good heater, needs careful placement
Reviewed on Amazon.co.uk

Got this to use in my garage and with the vague hope it could be used to heat my patio on our less than warm summer evenings ......First impressions are of a well made, sturdy and business like product. Definitely a utility look. Firm metal legs making it stand securely and add to the factory like appearance. The heater has 3 temperature settings and also functions as a cooler. It comes with copious instructions, which I'd strongly recommend reading due to the potential for getting burnt! In operation in my garage, the heater is quiet and gets hot very quickly. I only used the lowest setting for any length of time as my garage is quite small and the unit heated it very well. The cooling function worked OK too, though I've yet to use it on a really hot day.The supplied cable is very short and - like other reviewers - I had to use an extension lead. When it came to using it outdoors, my wife and I thought our patio too small for safe use though we may think again.Well made, powerful and quiet, this is a good buy.

Serious, powerful heating
Reviewed on Amazon.co.uk

This is a serious heater. It packs a punch, and heats up a room very effectively.I was rather glad to have this because there have been quite a few rather cold days, so having this for a large room was very useful. It has a large fan attached, and two settings other than just-fan: 2kW and 3kW. The heating elements are like those in an oven.Just be careful: place it an area as directed, and not for use on carpet, as the barrel gets hot and it might burn slightly.

Excellent item, we have a cold and draughty hallway, and used this fan just for 10 minutes upon arriving home, to warm it through - it did the trick. Easy to use, clear instruction on the knobs. Sturdy on the two legs, and with a decent length of cord and plug. Would recommend for anyone needing to heat a reasonable sized room

Powerful operation

This heater certainly packs a punch, even with its neat and compact design. It has two heater settings of 2 kW or 3 kW but also includes a fan setting which means that this unit can be used all year round and is not restricted to use in just the winter months. Other handy features

Adjustable thermostat

The adjustable thermostat now offers even more flexibility in terms of warming up and cooling down. The two easy-to-use control dials allow you to change the heat current at your leisure, or if you need cooling down on a hot summer day - this unit can do that too.

The steel stand gives the heater some stability, whilst the integral handle means it can be placed anywhere to suit your preference.

The two control dials are quick and simple to use - the left dial is responsible for the fan setting: the first is the cool fan, the second is for 2 kW power and the third is for the full 3 kW. The right dial is used for adjusting the temperature: from MIN to MAX is 5 to 40 degrees Celsius.

Even if the unit starts to become too hot, have no fear. The thermostatic cut-off feature is an extra safety precaution that will cut the power if the heater is too hot for too long.
