Worst product ever bought
Reviewed on Amazon.co.uk

The heater works fine for the first 4 months. Then it started to suddenly stop. After the thermostat seemed to give up.I contacted Honeywell as the product was under warranty but they said to contact another supplier.I never managed to have it replace or anything.I checked other reviews for that product and it was badly and cheaply made. Will never buy Honeywell anymore for the poor quality and even worse customer service.

Don't buy this, it's useless
Reviewed on Amazon.co.uk

I should have paid more attention to older reviews. The setting to aim for a temperature never worked... the thermal cut out cut in after only a few minutes. Having tried it again at the start of a new winter, it has burned out... there's a nasty burning plastic spell, the display flickers and it can't stay on more than 20 seconds.

Junk.

There are much better options
Reviewed on Amazon.co.uk

You set a temperature, and it never reaches it. Blows out warm air, not particularly hot and definitely doesn't warm the room.

I'm quite sure the digital display is a gimmick and doesn't effect the temperature.

This heater is fine for a small room. It doesn’t circulate much heat. I also find that when I touch it when the heater is on, it switches off.

Pros:Heats up quicklyHeats up the space quicklyLower energy settingCons:Not convinced about the thermostat, it reads much lower than it actually feelsIt's noisy, even on the lower energy setting and you certainly couldn't sleep with it operating (it kept waking me up)The settings button beep is also really noisyNo cool air blowing i.e. without heat source

Not up to Honeywell quality but not bad.
Reviewed on Amazon.co.uk

I bought this heater for a loft room that doesn't have a radiator and gets very cold.I found with other heaters with a manual thermostat that it was really difficult to judge the temperature, so you could wake up and be absolutely boiling, or it was hardly on.This one has a digital thermometer that first displays the current temperature of the room, then allows you to set your desired temperature accurately. It's basically an upright fan heater with ceramic elements. I don't know to what benefit that is, but it works, and it's reasonably quiet. Probably like having a desk fan on. It makes a bit of an electrical noise on oscillate, but it's ok.I like Honeywell as a brand, but this doesn't seem to be quite up to that standard. It has a sensor in front of it that will turn it off if something is too close, and it'll also turn off if it tips. The reduction in stars is for a few of reasons.Firstly the controls beep really loudly whatever you press (changing the temp is like a listening to R2D2 from star wars)Secondly, it looks futuristic, but it has two brightly lit strips on it, and the temperature display is always on. That makes it a bit distracting in a dark bedroom.Lastly, it doesn't remember the last temp you put it on, and starts always on 25c.

It is now 10 days past the cut-off (only 30 days) to return this item for a refund. Yesterday, it stopped working. You guys must make a lot of money on this model! It blows out excessive heat when it does work. A really sorry product, and I won't buy another Honeywell appliance.

Sounds good
Reviewed on Amazon.co.uk

I used this twice and then it stopped working. There's a burning smell from it. It's a cheap-looking fan-heater with a brittle plastic. It has reasonable functions and some quite sophisticated ones like the Safety Sentinel Technology that senses if an object is too close and turns the heater off until the object is removed, the Auto Safe Guard badge that shows when the grill is too hot to touch. The digital display shows preset temperature and there is an automatic shut-off when preset room temperature is reached. All that tech is not much use if it doesnh't work.

Very effective fan heater
Reviewed on Amazon.co.uk

The Honeywell HZ-385E Oscillating Tower fan heater combines safety with ergonomic effectiveness. The heat is almost instant, and the reasonably quiet fan distributes it evenly in a broad horizontal stream of warm air. There is no option to tilt it away from the horizontal. The controls are easy to see and operate, and the large numeric LED display showing the room temperature, or the pre-set temperature (7°C to 27°C) while choosing it with the knob, is easily seen and read from a distance. Controls also include: a choice between 1800 Watts and 1100 Watts; optional Timer durations of 1, 2, 4, 8 hours; Oscillating slowly through about a 90 degree arc or not; and two power On/Off switches.Neither the On/Off switch centred in the temperature knob nor the Isolator at the base allows the chosen power level or pre-set temperature to be remembered when "Off". It always turns "On" at 1800Watts and a default 24°C setting. The fan only runs when it is supplying heat or briefly during the cool-down phase after this; there is no fan-only mode to circulate unheated air. This lack makes it less useful than my Prem-I-Air which always starts off as a simple fan and requires one to choose a temperature setting to also provide heat.Power usage measured on 230V mains is approximately as follows:. Base Isolator On but top On/Off button Off; 0.5W. Resting between heating cycles; 2W. Fan only (cool down phase); 23W. Fan and Oscillation (cool down phase); 26W. Low heat; 1120W (initial peak of 2600W for a few seconds). High heat; 1850W (initial peak of 3500W for a few seconds)The safety features include: knowing when it is too hot; knowing if it is too close to something such as furniture or a pet (but a clever and/or observant cat/dog could disable this shut-down feature once they have seen how to click the little button); knowing if it is not upright or not on a flat surface (that little switch button underneath is vulnerable though); and a heat-sensitive badge in the middle of the hot air outlet grill to warn us how hot it i
