We have had this heater close to a month now. My wife accidentally knocked it over once. That was enough to break the hinge. Can't let it oscillate any more or else it will fall over. Disappointed with the purchase.
Shalin NijelArrived in a box that was not sealed, upon opening there is no paperwork or documentation at all. I'm not sure if this is how it is supposed to come, however every other De'Longhi item i have purchased such as toasters and kettles came sealed and fully documented with warranty cards, manuals etc.I presume I have been been sent a return which no one checked, or worse they did check and sent it anyway. The item appears to work fine, and I as i need a heater now I will live with it. I will note the seller though and be wary of any further purchases
B HALVERSONPoor heat
Ramkumar JayaramFor a Delonghi product, I am disappointed. I had a radiator for a number of years which worked perfectly, albeit I could never find one without a dent, but that's another story.I needed a tower heater, this looked the business. Turned up and the Timer and Oscillating buttons on the heater do not work, but they do on the remote. It feels cheap.Oh, and the fans CANNOT be turned off. According to the box, it has a giant "Silent" sign on it, with a statistic of 41db. Well, with an app on my iPhone, the lowest fan setting (Mode 1) is 61db.Take these in to account if you do purchase.
Chris W.It’s a big disappointment considering Which rated it as the Best Buy and very quiet! It’s much noisier than the smaller cheaper heater it was bought to replace, and it won’t switch on and off on a timer on the mains lead or the Hive system. The so-called digital 24 hour timer only restarts whatever program it was using when switched off so you have to remember to get it working before switching off and setting the timer.
cwcltdHeater is really nice so far but the base is really flimsy and the remote control must cost 50p to produce, really shoddy and cheap plastic. Itcost almost £90 so why do companies penny-pinch on things like the stand and remote when the heater itself looks to be well made.
DaveGHeats up (18 to 20 celsius) a 15m2 x 3m ceiling height room in 7 minutes in the lowest power mode (position 1). Thermostat working as stated. Noisy as hell though. When the thermostat kicks in and heater stopped you are happy to hear the sounds of silence again.
Daniel M.PIt has become really loud after one year of having it.
LorenzoHave had two of them and both have stopped working after less than a year.
Inkedoutonly lasted three months with minimal use now broken expect more for £40.00
Amazon Customerits good at the beginning after to moths though one of them broke making a rattling sound and barley putting any heat out
George :)The dial controlling the fan speed didn't work. Not worth paying the extra money for this product when plenty of cheaper products out there which do the same job and are probably fully functional on delivery.
Amazon CustomerIt was alright before anti-tip device started to kicked in. I had to return it.
Kajowobbly base and therefore sensitive cut out switch for anti tilt mechanism
mrs g a driverMain reason for buying this was for it's anti-frost function. I'd expect this to come on when the temperature dropped below about 5 degrees, but in my experience I've found the temperature to be over 11 degrees with heater still operating.
JoeThis product has the same fault as other people have been complaining about whereby the anti-tilt/switch off mechanism keeps activating itself! Very frustrating and a very useless heater!
Alexandra in WorthingThe Tip over safety device sensor is activated on the slightest touch then it wont reset itself for ages so unable to use the product .. this usually happens when its cold and you need it turned on .. also the fan is useless .. and overall its very noisy .. waste of money which is a shame
Louise MouleI bought two of these and used one and wrapped the other for a present. The one I used failed, Constantly turning itself off after a few seconds use. After a bit of messing around, the seller told me that there is a common fault with this heater and that both would need to be returned.
NRGI'll start with the positives.- Looks very smart- Oscillates- Remote Control- Turn on or off timerNegatives- Not particularly efficient : Just about keeps a 6x4m very well insulated room warm during the coldest winter day. Our cheap £20 B&Q electric heater can get the room warmer. Not sure if it's the incorporation of the fan that cools everything down. You don't seem to be able to run the heater without the fan on.- The items packaging arrived in a bit of a state. The box was torn open and squashed. Not necessarily the vendors fault could be the courier.- if you want the heater to come on in the morning before you enter the room you have to set it every night. This seems to be the same with all heaters though
GIJONESI sent this item back, it was a bit loud during use
