It is good because it gives you all what you need when you weigh anything but the down side it is a bit small
rose63Simple to use scales and perfect size not to cramp the kitchen
AniaKGreat item. Just what we wanted. It’s easy to use and is useful as you can split each individual food group to get a total.
Ms S Allengood scales a bit complicated
slapThese are great scales; accurate, nice to look at, with a clear display. My only issue is with the food codes listed in the manual. They are not ordered alphabetically, presumably because the list has just been translated from German. There are also some very niche foods, some I've never heard of, and some that are so vague I don't see how they could be useful. For example, I couldn't find baked beans, but I could find these:-
- cheese pie with walnuts
- knackwurst
- Meat cut into strips, Zurich style, dry product / powder form
- Leipzig vegetable medley, deep-frozen
- Pan-cooked vegetables, French, deep-frozen
- Pan-cooked vegetables, Italian, deep-frozen
- Pan-cooked vegetables, Mexican, deep-frozen
- Cheeseburger
That's not to say none of the codes are useful; a great deal of them are. And I'm not suggesting that I baked beans should be given top priority. It's just obvious that it is a German product being sold in the UK, but it isn't geared towards the UK market. However, 50 of the 1000 codes are programable so you can create a few of your own, including baked beans if you wish :)
All in all it's a really good set of scales and very handy for tracking nutrition. I would give it 5 stars if they had made a version aimed at the UK market.

RinseRepeatGreat for carbohydrate measuring - real shame they stopped making this with no replacement.
SandmanCan't delete the items programmed in, that I will never use.

Kashish AmarnaniThese scales are light, compact and simple to use. They are great for monitoring my daily calories.. Recommended.
Charlie BaileygatesHad been returned before pages on book folded. I also returned did not work accurately
SuzyI have found the scale very good and have been using it every day but mainly just as a scale. Like other reviewers, I have found the food list included in the instruction manual rather difficult to use and it is clearly designed to suit the German market and particularly German foodstuffs and names which are not familiar to me here in England. However, I have improved things somewhat by converting the food list into an Excel spreadsheet and done an alphabetical sort on categories. I do find myself resorting to a calorie counter book which has a more comprehensive list of foods (and pictures) and which enables a particular food to be found more quickly.

AJ HertsThis is a very sensitive, and very useful piece of kit. It can be a bit confusing to use with the manual, but is very accurate and simple for just weighing things. Overall, I would definitely recommend this to anyone who needs to check the nutritional value of ingredients/foods by weight.
MarkThe scale is elegant and basically easy to use, and appears to quite accurate. Our problem is, however, that the scale switches itself off after quite short time (seconds). It can be awakened if touched, but at some time (which also is quite short, and not adjustable) it switches itself off completely, showing 0 when switched on again. This is a problem when adding ingredients over some time, losing track of the actual amount.
Amazon CustomerExcellent scales for my helping my son calculate carbs (newly diagnosed Type 1 diabetes)
