david dayFantastic product A++++ Seller
R.P.BEATTIESimply awesome. Looks great, works well & measures fast. I love being able to measure fluids - no more staring through a see-through plastic jug & guessing.All in all, a must-have for the kitchen.
J ShaltJust taken out of the box, put in the batteries and showing ERR message and not working, very disappointing, now got to go though the rigmarole of sending back and waiting for a refund, very annoying
chris bloomfieldAfter using these mainly for filter coffee and cooking, I’d recommend looking elsewhere. Big problems:- Completely inconsistent readings when placing the same object on the scales- The number displayed will change wildly depending on the speed/how carefully you’re adding things- Any movement (be it from sliding the item you’re weighing or accidentally brushing the scales) will drastically change the reading- The tare function is very inconsistent, often not resetting the scales to 0Giving 2 stars instead of 1 as (if you’re very very careful) you can get some sort of indication of weight and the design is nice/lightweight.Overall, it’s worth spending a bit more to get something actually functional. Otherwise it will cost you more in the long run when you get fed up of these.
AndrewIt was well packaged and is exactly as advertised.
Roseli CastroI have an older version of this scale. Some 15 years older. Instead of the physical buttons it has a 'touch' area. Which doesn't work well with wet hands. But, that scale was 100% accurate and had fast response times. (I have calibration weights - So I can test accuracy).These scales are always off by a few grams at 100g test weight and some 10g at 500g test weight. That's not a huge amount... But with the older scales I could weight spices and other small quantities, not with these.The next issue is that they are a little unpredictable. If I put a bowl on them it gives me the weight. take the bowl off and put it on again it gives me a different weight... Again just by a few grams.My biggest problem is when pouring things like grain or flour into them. There is a slight lag before they record that I am adding stuff and I have to stop pouring early to let them catch up.There is also a 3 second hold the off button to signal to turn off. The old scale went off instantly. Much better in a busy kitchen.These are totally usable, but I expect a little better for this money.
KevinDecent and simple kitchen scales. Seem fairly accurate but struggles with small weights and does take a short while to update, so add your ingredients slowly!
John KI have just received these scales. Take note, they do NOT take a CR2032 battery, as advertised, but two AAA BATTERIES.This fact may affect your desire to purchase.I purchased this model, against others, for the very reason of it taking the CR battery, as I have an ample supply.It even records on the box that it takes the CR battery!DISAPPOINTING Salter, disappointing!
RoddyThe description says it come with 1 x CR2032 battery. However, it actually uses 2 x AAA batteries (which it came with) which is a little annoying as I'd filtered out all of the AA/AAA scales. The buttons feel a little loose and it took several presses of the 'zero' button to actually get it to zero. It seemed to think the air on top of it weighed 20g. It feels a bit cheap and I definitely prefer my previous Salter scales.
Julie EdwardsOnly just got itAll is as it should be-very happy with productTime will tell though!
gastek1Small beat and tidy. Easy to use. You can swap between Imperial and metric and solids and liquid very easily.
KimBut smaller than i anticipated but good buy
SupasparkleLikes: accurate, easy to clean.Dislike: readings seem temperature-sensitive so putting something from the freezer or fridge on it seems to make it go haywire. So I avoid that or put an insulator between the surfaces of the scale and what is being weighed.
MrcACrlThis is good for the price. It does look and feel cheap, but it does clearly measure what you want and is easy to use with plenty of units available. Battery lasts for ages and I use it most days. Honestly though I wish I had paid a few more quid as the wobbly plastic buttons annoy me. First world problems!
W. DaviesGreat compact scales, so easy to use.
Sally StevensExcellent quality and value for money.
