Quite literally stopped working right within two months of going out of warranty. Something to do with moving on between different stages as it gets to the end of the rinse cycle and then suddenly goes all the way back to wash and so far as I can see would remain in that loop forever. I made do for a little while by stopping it after the first repeat, manually switching it to Drain and re-starting it. But now it wont even do that.Adequate machine up until this point but 1-star because I believe it was deliberately designed to fail after a set amount of time. Machine has seen very light use in its lifespan.
carolWorks perfectly fine. Some programs take forever though. I think it's energy efficient too, not like I've compared it to another.
EMEKA OKPARAI have hated this machine from the first day I got it! The instructions are useless and it takes forever (you are supposed to be able to use the time saver button but it only works on one program!) and the clothes are so creased when they come out. I don’t know what it does to them. I had a Hotpoint washer/dryer before for 8 years and it was nothing like this one.The only program I use now is No. 10 the 30 degree 30 minute one but the clothes are still creased like they’ve been screwed up in a ball ????. Who designs these machines? Obviously not someone who uses them.
Dip8934Needed a washer dryer for daughters new flat quickly this is great delivered into kitchen by really helpful delivery guys good machine and good price
AbblinaForget Bosch, hotpoint is way way better. Absolutely love it
ShahGeniuenley a awful machine. EXTREMELY slow, clothes come out soaking wet if you don’t selected a drying mode, which takes over 2 hours to finish. The machine won’t open until it’s finished; even then the clothes are still wet. If you enjoy spending your whole day waiting for clothes to wash and having no indication for when the wash will stop, then this is the machine for you
jemmaMy tenant likes it
reginald g d goddardEverything to likeNothing to dislike
robert scottHave had it a year now and it been a blinder both washing and drying
Paul WarrenBrillliant appliance - does exactly what you want it to do with a wide choice of programmes.
ChrisHigh-quality machine.
JamieIt turned up with no protective packaging plumbed it in and nothing but flashing lights now have to wait more days for engineer to come and look at it. No it does not meet expectations, I am pretty disappointed.
niall hamiltonDon't buy this machine, I had a John Lewis washer dryer for 5 years no bother untill the dryer went, was going to take a week for new one to come from J L so went to local shop who could deliver next day, what a mistake, I have had it a year, it takes forever to wash and even longer to dry, after drying towels always do rinse but it still leaves residue on cloths, I use liquid soap but still leaves white marks
oldbrickGreat appliance.
gill willzBought this machine just under 3 years ago. 3 months ago a knocking noise started when machine was in spin mode. As the machine came with a 5 year warranty on parts, I contacted the Hotpoint Service Dept. who confirmed that the machine did have a 5 year parts warranty and put me in touch with the local Hotpoint Service Dept. who confirmed that I would have to pay £119.95 labour charge. The engineers inspected the machine & told me the balance weight had broken & torn itself away from the drum and that new parts needed to be ordered. The engineers have told me that they have no idea when the new drum will arrive as the dates received from Hotpoint keep changing. 3 months have now passed and still no parts. I have contacted Hotpoint direct and they do not want to do anything to help. The Hotpoint service is none existent, don't be fooled by this 5 year parts warranty. It is a joke. Do not buy any Hotpoint products unless you want to be treated the way I have been.
Alan MichelThis machine has broken after 14 months of very little use. Hotpoint says it will cost £137 to fix, so will buy another new machine (non-Hotpoint).
Jo HolditchI looked this up on Amazon as this is the washer/dryer that is in my new rented flat. I wanted to see if anyone else thought the same as me ie. that this is a USELESS machine. It takes absolutely ages to dry anything in it. I tried to dry two bath sheets and two hand towels (so, a very small load). I gave up after three hours and put them on the clothes airer.COMPLETELY USELESS
MacGuffinAppalling machine. Waiting hours for clothes to dry. Completely useless. 3 weeks out of the year warranty, the lock decided to fail. The manual override didn't work either so now my clothes are stuck inside the machine. 54 weeks old and it has failed. Absysmal customer service can't send anyone out for a week and will change me £110. Needless to say I will never use this useless company again.
btm fdrOutstanding value for money - does a great deal automatically and you don't have to be a rocket scientist to use it!
