The reason for only 4 stars is because the stainless steel platform has scratched very quickly (I appreciate this is a functional item however aesthetics do play a part) and the stainless steel platform is slightly raised meaning it can be a little fiddly to clean if you spill ingredients etc. All in all - recommended.

ClarissaGood set of scales, very good resolution in the measurements. My last set of Salter scales would only go up or down in steps of 2 grams, these measure in steps of 0.1g! Only downside is the size, this can weigh material up to 5kg, but you can barely fit a run of the mill breakfast bowl on the measuring plate. Not had any reason to try and clean up a mess on it yet, plate wipes clean easily but i suspect the buttons could be a problem if they got anything wet on them.

Mr R LecomberThese are the best small kitchen scales I've used. They are stable and accurate, with a very bright and clear display. The zero and on/off buttons are separate, which makes it easier to switch them off quickly. I also like that they use AAA batteries, rather than the little button batteries that most of these scales use. With my last scales I was forever having to change the battery, but these last longer and as they are AAA, you can use rechargeables if you wish. They're a bit more expensive than most, but well worth it if you use them regularly.
