is over. I have very same design, just dierent make ,and cough, diferent shop..anyway, Ive had a few scales in my time. And unless you are in a bakery/and or need to impress folk passing through your kitchen, that you are, or maybe are a cook, and need the bloomin things out all the time, then this is not for you.
billy_boyGreat design and handy for all shapes of items you are weighing. Easy to store in a drawer. I'd have given it 5 stars but despite using ot on a marble surface it keeps jumping by a gram.
Gary MiddletonI love it. So easy to use. The tare button is a great invention. Small - it fits in my utensil box but strong. Very happy customer
Magali KincaidThese scales are just so compact, portable and stylish, just too good to hide away in a draw.
R. J. Hinesonly got it yesterday but the wife has been using it & loves it well worth the money
SimoWhat a delightfully simple and neat weighing machine. The machine folds up beautifully and can be slipped into a drawer or cupboard without taking up loads of space. It measures accurately and the tare function is a must.

Love it. Great design. Needs hardly space in the kitchen. Quality product.
DrgolfarThese scales are really great. They arrive in a nice neat compact box and when you get them out they feel sturdy and well-constructed but also light and with a nice design. At around 9 inches long and about ¾ of an inch in height they are also extremely small and can easily be stored away in a kitchen drawer – unlike our previous kitchen scales which needed to sit on the worktop. They looked great but in our compact kitchen all worktop space is precious and these new scales are much more practical for us.To activate the scales you open the two legs out as wide as you need to accommodate the bowl you are weighing (to a max of 16cm at the far end) and place on a flat surface. You then simply need to touch the on/off button to activate the LCD display. It is a very sensitive button so there is no need to press hard, it is more like activating something on a smart phone than turning on a kitchen appliance. You can then use a button to toggle between grammes and kilos or pounds and ounces. At this point you simply place your bowl on the scales and by pressing the button labelled ‘tare’ the scales zeros itself ready for you to add you ingredients to the bowl. One of the great things about this scales is that you can use the ‘tare’ button several times in one weighing session so if you need to add more than one ingredient into the bowl simply add the first one to the correct weight and press ‘tare’ this will zero the scales and then you can add the second ingredient and so on. The scales will take up to a maximum weight of 5kg so a fair bit more than most compact traditional scales and if you exceed this weight it will let you know on the display. The scales are easily turned off by pressing the on/off button but if you forget to do this they will also auto switch off so that the battery does not run down.Overall I am hugely impressed by these scales. A very simple but hugely effective design that will work for any kitchen but will be particularly useful for those people with minimal space available. A genuinely great ad
GrrWhat I like about these digital kitchen scales is unlike other scales they are nice and compact, which means they don't take up much room. They are nice and easy to use - you just pull the two bars open, turn the scales on and place the item to be weighed on the bars. It's as simple as that. Sehnle have produced an excellent and useful products with the 66226 digital kitchen scales.
ColumboSmall and sophisticated weighing scales...the future is here now! Not much bigger than a pair of scissors or a can opener, these can be used to weigh out your cooking ingredients and then stored away in the tiniest of spaces. Accurate, clean and efficient, these are the ideal weighing equipment for the modern kitchen. Simple to operate. Nice piece of kit.
M. W. HatfieldThe Soehnle Digital Kitchen Scales (item no. 66226) are set of household kitchen scales for general weighing of ingredients etc in the kitchen. The scales offer the user the choice in showing the weight in either grams or pounds/ounces. This particular model can weigh up to 5kg (9lbs) in 1g graduation.Made from a hard and particularly durable wipe-clean plastic, the scales are very light and easy to clean, as well as being incredibly easy to store away, with the scales folding closed so that they’re small enough to be able to be slotted away into a kitchen drawer or the like. The performance of the scales is quite impressive - providing reasonably high accuracy (within 1 gram). The scales are also incredibly easy to recalibrate, simply by turning them off and then on again or by pressing the ‘Tare’ button the scales will auto recalibrate.Aside from the ingenious fold-away design and the high level of accuracy that the scales provide, the other key features are the easy-to-read digital display and the sheer ease of using the scales. It's a simple case of switching them on, weighing your ingredients, and then switching it off again. Simple. All in all my wife and I are very pleased with the scales. They perform well, offering good precision and an ease of use. And the super-handy fold-away scissor-like deign makes them so easy to store away in a kitchen drawer after use. Love ‘em!
Chris HallWhat can I say? Compact, simple to use, and, it seems very accurate. The glass "legs" and face are very easy to clean, and the display is nice and clear. The compact size makes them quite portable too, handy, as I occasionally cook in other peoples' houses.
Eugene LafcadioReally useful set of scales that takes up less space than most - handy for small kitchens and stowing away in drawers. The power and tare buttons are easily accessible while the button to change between imperial and metric is on the back. This makes it a little more effort to switch but for me this is a good thing as I can't accidentally do it half way through a recipe. The display is clear and easy to read and the 'legs' open and close easily.
TashaMeasuring just over 9 inches long (23cm) and a mere 2 1/2 inches wide (6cm) this digital kitchen scale is very easy to store, which, unless you cook for a living, is where it will be for most of the time. The switch from measuring pounds and ounces to grams is really easy, the display is nice and large. and the whole thing is convenient to clean - just a quick wipe. The real selling-point for me is that you can use any bowl, plate or container - it doesn't come with it's own.A real asset to the kitchen.
StromataThese are kitchen scales and have proven accurate, just like others I have had. These ones are particularly good due to their small form factor and innovative fold out design. In small kitchens where space is at a premium (or caravans, mobile homes, etc) this fold-down design could be very useful. The display is LCD (like a calculator) rather than LED like on my other scales (which means that on these, you can't see the display in very low light as it won't illuminate). Not a problem for most people but worth bearing in mind in case that's important.Feet seemed slightly magnetic but not enough to stick to the fridge. Could have been useful were it able to do that, but I guess it's a bit too heavy as has glass in the construction. All in all, a solid piece of kitchen equipment that is especially useful where space is at a premium.
Discerning ShopperClever idea, well executed, but missing the ability to measure anything except lb and g.Build quality and materials are excellent, and it is small and robust enough to store in the utensils drawer. However, it does not have the option of measuring volumes of water or milk, which can be useful.

Discerning ShopperLove it. This is a great compact design that takes up minimal space when stored. It's relatively lightweight and easy to manipulate. There's a small discrepancy with the buttons, that the ones on the display are touch sensitive and really easy to use, which makes this particularly accessible, but the button for changing between measurement types is hidden and not touch sensitive, which is slightly less intuitive and less accessible.Overall though, it seems accurate, it's a great design, it fits most bowls, it automatically powers off when not in use... you can't really ask for much more. The slim, compact design is the main difference between this and some scales though. It works really well for fitting in kitchen drawers etc.
P M BuchanThe Genio scale is developed to fit into the modern busy and often compact kitchen. It folds to fit easily into a draw or cupboard taking up minimal space.
The high gloss glass arms open, automatically turn on the scale, and support a wide range of different bowls, pots or other dishes. When the arms are closed the scale automatically turns off saving its power.
The Genio features a convenient add and weigh facility; and weighs up to 5 kg /11 lb / 15 oz.; in tiny 1 g / 0.05 oz. increments. the scale can very easily be changed to weigh in Imperial or metric, and the screen is conveniently large.
Soehnle have been making quality weighing devices for bath and kitchen since 1868 and they are particularly proud of this compact design Genio.
