The product, when it arrived was smaller than the pictures made it look but that’s fine as they did specify this in the info section by diving the dimensionsThe look of the product is very fancy and looks like a glass but is really plastic over the top of the scale portion, looks very nice.One problem I had with the product is that whenever you turn it on it starts off with Oz before turning back to grams, not a problem with the product just a little annoying.Also the buttons are very very noises, sound like your pressing in on a hard shell plastic bottle.Overall it a great product for the price it’s about £5 cheaper than all the other option which do a smaller amount in weight this does 5kg others do 3kg at a similar/closer amount in price range. I love the look the size is smaller than I though but is still decent, I highly recommend it.

I found this item difficult to use, as instructions were very clear.But its a nice looking device and and would be easy to clean.

By and large a very good set of scales but their infuriating habit of switching off in the middle of a weighting session can leave you fuming with rage. if you have a short fuse then these scales won't last, you will absolutely launch them across the garden. My advice is buy a set with a sensible time to auto shut off or better still get a set that you shut off i.e. not dictated my some engineering clown that has never cooked a day in their life.

Just finished the teardown after our KS865 stopped switching on. There's no protection for the electronics if fluid spills onto the switches. No gasket seal, no nothing. Straight into the innards and you have yourself a pretty glass brick. Who'd have thought a kitchen scale might suffer a spillage? Clearly not the designer. Save yourself £10, look elsewhere and maybe avoid Duronic designed items altogether?

Was fine for the first 18 months...but now it's the classic broken scales behaviour.Put something on...take it off and the reading doesn't reset to 0, goes back to silly random numbers...26g...49g...-6g all sorts.Also, you can put something on, take a reading, put it back, get a different reading, try again, different reading etc.So, for the bin then.

Very good quality and general build. Software needs improving as most people pointed out, you have to be quick before the 1minute auto off kicks in, which is a pain because you'll need to empty out your ingredients and start again ( especially annoying if measuring liquid)

They look good and feel more substantial than the £8 salter ones, but the reality is they are pretty useless for weighing things. I weigh out smaller grammages, say, up to 40g and have noticed a big difference in the readings. I can have something at (allegedly) 20g, move it elsewhere on the scale and it will read half that or worse. I can pick it up and put it down and it's 50/50 whether it reads more or less than it was before. Utterly useless and am having to replace. Only buy if you don't care what things weigh...

Having just received and tested this item, I can confirm that it functions well and seems durable enough - we'll see how we go. However, I've rated it three stars because within its advertised specifications it's supposed to weigh fluid ounces. It doesn't - only ounces and lb/oz (ie 22 ounces and 1 lb 6 oz). A fluid ounce is heavier than an ounce. The millilitre capability is there (but 1 ml of water weighs the same as 1 g, so what's the point?), but fl. oz. would have been useful on occasion, and the item should be as described (both on Amazon and on its own box).

Nice and compact design although display could be bigger and the units are in tiny characters. These scales are good in that they offer a choice of units to pre-select. Due to the tiny size, it is easier to recognise the unit selected by its position along the top of the display, rather than reading it!

However, the biggest drawback is that it gives no warning of when it is going to turn off to save the batteries. Quite often it is in the middle of a measuring operation and you have to go back to square one.

Pressing the top every thirty seconds will keep your item's weight still showing, but it is a bit of a pain to do this when trying to organise ingredients, etc.

Look for one which has a manual on/off switch or a warning beep to avoid this annoyance.

They do the job but I find the on/off/reset button isnt very sensitive and it's hard to get it to turn off. Having said that it does turn itself off after a short time - too short a time and often turns itself off mid way through me weighing out ingredients.
