Very disappointed, can only handle small amounts at a time. Leaves too much fruit not juiced. The funnel does not function correctly the juice leaks down the machine. Do not waste your money.
b a barbosa da silvaI used my parents juicer which was a centrifugal juicer and it was terrible so I was a little unsure about purchasing another and did lots of research online. Nearly all the juicers had good and bad reviews and I had never heard of Ariete before so did some research into this too. I am really pleased with this juicer. The only negative comments I have is that certain fruits have to be peeled ie the ones that you cannot eat the skin of lemons, limes kiwi etc and the metal part inside is hard to remove but once removed, it is all so easy to wash and takes minutes but best to use a wash brush not a sponge as I found out when the green bits from the rough part of the sponge was in my juice !! Because of the negatives I have only given 4 stars otherwise I would have given 5.
When juicing it's best to be really organised with the fruit so all peeled (no need to chop as the feeding tube is massive) and ready to go as most of the reviews say not to leave the juicer running for longer than 2 minutes and this one does say that in the instructions. I have had allsorts of combinations and I bought this as I don't get enough fruit/veg in my diet, I have used beetroot, celery and ginger and I hate them but when combined with fruit you cannot taste them. I have even started getting spots which my daughter says it's because my body is detoxing all the crap from my body. Nice !!!! Definitely worth buying.
Just received the Ariete AR173 Juice Extractor and I have thumbs up from my family. We are all very keen to eat our five fruits a day but with busy lives we don't always get the time - now I can make handy and tasty drinks for everyone knowing that they are enjoying freshly prepared fruit which is good for them and we can make it just how we want it. My main problem in the past was the clean up - because the Ariete 173 separates everything it makes clean up easy - which is important for me - add to this the very powerful motor and I don't think that we could get any more juice out.Looking forward to making some vegetable drinks now - Thanks Ariete great product for daily use and well done Amazon - delivered in 24 hours
