Working very well, but difficult to use and clean

We purchased this juicer a few months ago after our old juicer did not work anymore. This Cuisinart Compact Power Juicer is an ok juicer but badly designed:CON:Def not compact, parts are difficult to clean & juicer waste is very moist:means that it does not extract the maximum amount of juice.PROLooks good & we like that the juicer feed tube is big/wide enough for apples etc .Not too much effort to cut fruit/veg pices tiny.

Have been using this happily for two months but unfortunately water has somehow got into the main removable/ washable part and I can't drain it. It has now started to smell stagnant And I don't use the juicer anymore.

This was bought as a Christmas present for someone who had been wanting a juicer for some time but was confused at the range of those on offer. I chose this on the basis of known brand, required features and value for money. It has proved to be very satisfactory so far. My grand-daughter loves it.
