Beautifully Designed, And It Works Well Too!

Until recently I'd been using manual squeezers, and had scoffed at the idea of an electric device. After trying this WMF manufactured version though, I changed my mind. It's just so much easier and less hassle! I use mine primarily for oranges, which I squeeze for breakfast. Four of them squeezed fill a good sized glass, and the result is delicious, and way better than anything you can buy in a shop.

The design of this machine is very well thought and efficient. Under the clear plastic lid sits the juicer head, which is cleverly designed to incorporate both the large, orange sized head, and the slimmer lemon sized head nested underneath it. Below that is a stainless sieve plate to catch pips and pith. This in turn sits atop the removable juice tray, which has a cleverly hinged juice funnel. When flipped up it remains sealed, to prevent drips. The entire assembly can be lifted from the base for quick and easy washing, following your juicing.

To use the juicer you simply place your halved citrus fruit over the juicer and press down gently. Pressure turns the machine on automatically, and it quietly spins below the fruit, expressing the juice, which runs into whatever glass you've placed below the spout. It's all very simple and hassle free. The motor is plenty powerful enough, and if you were to make it struggle it would be a sign you're pressing way too hard.

As with everything I own from WMF this item is very well made and extremely elegant. Mine came with a two pin euro style plug, and I choose to use it via an inexpensive adaptor (rated at more than the shaver standard one amp!) Cutting it off and wiring up a British plug would have been the other simple option.

I give it five stars and a hearty recommendation.
