Steam Iron Generator
Reviewed on Argos.co.uk

Previous models were ok but this one was very disappointing. The almost constant noise from the pump when moving water from the tank to the steam generator was unbearable. In addition the double click on the iron to boost the steam did not work as described.

The iron has a beautiful appearance and is quite straight-forward to use once you have read through the manual, which can be a bit of work.. The iron light is constantly coming on while I am ironing and it is taking up too much time. Switching between the dials can be confusing compared to using a standard low-high setting and usually causes the light to come on even when on a lower setting?Considering the price that I paid for this which was a lot of money I am pretty disappointed. It does the job but it takes forever and the patience of a saint.

Looks good and is very light but doesn't do as good of a job as a normal standard iron

Iron does not glide over clothes well
Reviewed on Argos.co.uk

Iron in general is good however, it does not glide over clothes as well as previous steam generated irons I've had. It feels like ironing over wet clothes and ruches up clothes at times when ironing over them. I've noticed that someone else has made a similar comment in relation to the next model up. I wouldn't buy again.

Not reliable.
Reviewed on Amazon.co.uk

This is the second one we have purchased that has not lasted a year. Water leaking out from the steam hose at the base of the unit. We purchase water filters and use water softener crystals, all to no avail. Be carful if you live in a hard water area you may be loosing money the same as this leaks water.

Good design - Poor Glide
Reviewed on Argos.co.uk

Pros - Good design sits well on the side with anti-slip feet. Having a water container that detaches for filling is great! Cons - Glide seems less than the Phillips we had before just needs more effort. It is slightly noisier too.

The worst iron I have ever had!
Reviewed on Argos.co.uk

This iron is the worst I have ever had! It doesn't glide over the fabric but rather gathers it up! The steam is interspersed with great splutters of water leaving the garment with big wet splotches all over it by the time you have finished.

It oversteams, spits water everywhere and very noisy compared to other makes I’ve had in the past.

Lasted less than a year
Reviewed on Amazon.co.uk

Had the older version of the iron that lasted for years. Eleven months later the iron has broken, contacted Morphy Richards who informed me that despite me using the correct water it stopped working due to limescale and that falls outside the warranty! offered me the chance to buy a new one with a small discount... WHY WOULD I BUY ANOTHER WHEN STOPPED WORKING LESS THAN A YEAR OLD... NO THANKS

No pressure, leaks water all over the garment
Reviewed on Amazon.co.uk

There is absolutely no pressure out of the generator, and when you rest the iron vertically without the button pressed, it simply spits boiling water out at whatever it's pointing at.The clothes get very wet, and whilst the creases do get worked out, you'd be just as successful ironing wet clothes. Not sure if this is a faulty one, but it really is disappointing. Am returning and going for a power steam iron.

Great steam iron but we had issues with it spitting ...
Reviewed on Amazon.co.uk

Great steam iron but we had issues with it spitting out brown water. This actually was a serious issue but could be the scented ironing water you buy from supermarkets. I have stopped using this recently to see if this stops the issues. So far, so good but I will reserve full judgement until I know it has stopped

It is quite light to use and nice looking (for an iron). Would be better to have a carry handle; this was a replacement for a much more expensive steam system and I am afraid you can tell the difference although for a budget item it works well
