I got this particular iron to replace my old Philips which lasted over 12 years.I have had a problem with this new one but the seller has put that right doQuickly and easily that it doesn’t warrant loosing a star

fantastic iron! the only reason for giving 4 stars is slight steam delay and the noise generated by strong bursts of steam.my laundry was ironed in no time - it succesfully goes through 2-4 plies of bedsheets. Amazing time-saver!it irons well even the most delicate of fabrics without burning or leaving shine.

This is a smaller more compact steam generator iron.Suited to people with smaller or no families and also people who don’t want to struggle with the larger and heavier versions of steam generator irons.Best part of this iron is the Optimal Temperature , a smart control processor which means Not having to to adjust the iron temp for different fabrics. You can go from sheets to a sweater without a problem.So no more having to sort out the ironing before beginning.It is helpful to use either distilled water or the water from a dehumidifier or condenser tumble dryer in the iron. This will help guard against limescale. Even though there is built in descaling I live in an extreme hard water area and prefer to be careful.I did find the this iron to be very noisy. This may or may not be an issue. I like listening to an audio book while I am ironing so I did mind a bit.Overall I love the way it makes ironing easier. A steam g I like the smaller size but not so keen on the noise, but it doesn’t stop it being a good iron.

This was a great purchase and does everything I could ever wish for in ensuring all of my ironing gets the professional look. It was to replace an earlier model which I had for many years. A very good quality product which gives immediate results

Brilliant product. Big water tank so don’t have to refill for ages! Safety feature works, ie turns off when forgotten!! My only little niggle is when you have over-pressed steam button you can only suppress steam by placing back on water tank docking plate, but still a 5 star product!

Not cheap but quality never is. Wife loves to use it which means I don’t have to: bargain of the century.

Tank holds good amount of water so you don't have to refill often, turbo steam, can leave plate down on cover it clothes and it won't burn, no temperature control. I'm a dressmaker and this iron is a dream to use, although I'm not usually a fan of auto shut off this iron heats up so fast it doesn't matter.

I chose this iron after reading the GH reviews. It was only 1 point behind the winner but £200 cheaper so that is why I picked it. It was also reduced on Amazon so a good deal.Reviews said it was too noisy but I've just caught up on 3 weeks family ironing watching the TV on normal volume. It dealt easily with jeans, linen trousers, t-shirts, 100% cotton shirts, polo shirts and rayon tops and dresses, all of which were bone dry while I was deciding which iron to buy!It is lightweight, good for me as I have problematic shoulders and neck, however the whole appliance is quite large so will need to rethink storage. Points other reviews picked up on - no power cord storage, now has a velcro wrap to tidy it away. Filling was fairly easy from a jug (not supplied) but couldn't put it under the tap which is probably a safety thing anyway. It has a 1.5l tank which was more than enough for my ironing.Very simple start up, fill and go. I didn't need to use the turbo for any of my items so haven't tested this option yet. It does take some coordination to press the steam button on and off rather than keep it on all the time but that may well be me rather than the iron.All in all very happy with my purchase which has helped lessen the chore of ironing (slightly!!)

I love the iron. Easy to iron

If ironing could be pleasurable, this is the nearest you are going to get to it. Glides lovely, lots of steam and easy to use. I like the de-calc system too which seems quite effective. I had a similar Philips model for 5 years before this one which served me well, but I think this just pips it. Good value too.
