I returned this iron as I found the actual iron itself could fall off the base. There is nothing at the back to stop the iron from sliding down
KekThis is a disappointing iron with medium to low steam pressure.
SteveParcel was obviously a returned item as box was broken and product looked damaged
David LeverThis steam function on this product went wrong within a year and the ‘customer service’ that Morphy Richards provide is slow and poor. They did not even get the warranty period right.
F J.Not too impressed with the iron, it’s seems to be the same temperature no matter what setting I put it on. It could be that the thermostatic not working but if that is the case it has never worked. Waiting for husband to come back from being away to test etc.
DangermumReturned to store as it didn’t work properly
GertDoesn’t glide smooth enough, my arms were tired after 1/2 hour, a bit noisy too. Not good for bedsheets
ClarkPrevious models were ok but this one was very disappointing. The almost constant noise from the pump when moving water from the tank to the steam generator was unbearable. In addition the double click on the iron to boost the steam did not work as described.
PedroLooks good and is very light but doesn't do as good of a job as a normal standard iron
SazOn paper the iron sounds good, high level of steam and easy to use, however the build quality of this is extremely poor, it feels very cheap and plastic(y) and the level of steam produced is inconsistent. After a few minutes of steaming it will decide to re-prime and during that the steam is virtually non-existent. Compared to my previous Tefal Gv8461 Pro Express this is horrible. The Morphy Richards iron itself is very light though, but means having to go slower, or use full steam when Ironing to get rid of creases, and the lightness adds to the cheap feel of the product. There is also a 'dirty water' tank attached to the main water tank used to de scaling which means if you have any clean water in the main tank when you are de scaling you have to pour it away as part of the process. Finally, there are 2 holes on either side of the product for you to collect and force the power cable and steam line into for storage, you really have to force these in and this will inevitably lead to them breaking so a very poor design overall.

Iron in general is good however, it does not glide over clothes as well as previous steam generated irons I've had. It feels like ironing over wet clothes and ruches up clothes at times when ironing over them. I've noticed that someone else has made a similar comment in relation to the next model up. I wouldn't buy again.
MarjPros - Good design sits well on the side with anti-slip feet. Having a water container that detaches for filling is great! Cons - Glide seems less than the Phillips we had before just needs more effort. It is slightly noisier too.
SharkyThis iron is the worst I have ever had! It doesn't glide over the fabric but rather gathers it up! The steam is interspersed with great splutters of water leaving the garment with big wet splotches all over it by the time you have finished.
AnonymousThe Speed Steam Pro is our most powerful steam generator, perfect for households with large amounts of ironing. The 7-bar pump produces 140g of continuous steam for effortless ironing on all fabrics. A further 400g steam shot can be produced to tackle event the most stubborn creases. The large 2 litre water tank ensures that you maintain the high levels of steam for longer, with less refills. The unique Auto Clean & De-scale functions remove limescale to keep your steam generator working at its best. Limescale is automatically flushed from the boiler - all you do is pour it away. There is no need for filters either. A Ceramic, non-stick soleplate provides extra durability and ensures the iron glides across your fabrics with ease. The intuitive electronic controls are simple to use. With light-up buttons that control the steam, you can see at glance which of the three variable steam settings you are using. Choose the exact level of steam you need and get the very best result, whether ironing delicate garments or heavy-duty fabrics. For added safety Auto Shut Off ensures the iron turns off if left unused. Additionally, the iron securely locksto the base unit for easy, safe and secure carrying.
