The iron has a Continental type plug,with an earth connection as is needed on a clothes iron.The adaptor for the UK type plug,enclosed with the parcel,has no earth connection.Either a correct type adaptor should be supplied ,or none at all.

Had to be returned due to faulty thermostat

Having purchased Rowenta Dry Irons for many years and not being able to buy them in the UK anymore, I found this one to be the next best thing. Although I still prefer this new one to any steam irons, it doesn't push out nowhere near the heat as my previous Rowenta Iron that was purchased in the UK so if any clothes were too dry and creased, you would have to spray water on your garments for that 'ironed look'.

Very poor performance as it doesn't get hot enough. It is just about usable (on max setting) on easy-iron synthetics, but the iron is useless for good quality cotton shirts. Yet another product that panders to the lowest common denominator.Cons:1. No button groove in the side of the sole plate which makes ironing shirts more fiddly.2. Power cord is very short.3. No proper UK plug - just a bulky adaptor.4. The power cord enters centrally at the top / rear of the iron, which means it drags over your ironing unless your power outlet happens to be behind you (a side-entry cord would have been much more convenient).5. Sole plate is not very flat, having a slight hollow in the centre.6. A bit too large - it is no smaller than many steam irons.7. Nowhere near hot enough.Pros:1. You are unlikely to accidentally burn yourself.I should have known better than to buy another Rowenta product (a Rowenta toaster and a kettle have both recently failed after 12 months of relatively infrequent use). I shall probably be returning the iron as it really isn't fit for purpose. It is a shame there aren't many other non-steam irons on the market.

I searched long and hard for a non steam iron and was so pleased to find this one. The product is really well made and I was delighted to read it came with an adapter.DOWNSIDE the adapter keeps moving within its holding position and turns the iron off, which is not realized until creases can still be seen. I have to constantly push the adapter into the plug!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!ALL SAID AND DONE, WHEN IT DOES STAY ONE IT DOES THE JOB EXCELLENTLY
