It came without a sole plate protector, it was scratched and already is not steaming as the old model used to.when it came i wondered if it was not brand newBecause of the situation around the world today due to coronavirus I haven't done anything, i.e. sending it back and trying to communicate with seller or manufacturer is beyond helpit was an expensive item I do not expect to be sold an item that is not fit for purpose

Recently replaced our old Bosch steam iron which was originally rated as 3050W. Apart from that, specification is identical. noticed that the filler lid now has a rubber washer which seals the filler hole when closed. Apart from that, the same good quality and ease of use as our old model, which we had for a number of years. The new one we purchased is actually the blue model. We noticed that this is fitted with a clear easy to see reservoir. Our previous model was maroon with a smoke colour reservoir and was difficult to see how much water was in the tank.

My only criticism of this iron is that it’s really difficult to see how much water is in tank as it’s dark grey. Would be so much better if the water tank was clear.

Iron arrived yesterday, (Oct 21st 2019)Used the iron today having 5 linen dresses to iron after my recent holiday. The iron light weight even with max amount of water in the chamber, I was very pleased with the result, applied a little pressure as I ironed. Very pleased so far with it! It is a lighter weight iron than my previous Breville similar functions which only lasted 3 years! Hopefully this will last longer for the price £49.99!

Best iron I have owned

Most expensive iron I've ever bought and loved it at first. However I've had better much cheaper irons. Am so disappointed, not even lasted me a year. Water runs down the handle every time I use it so have to keep drying my hand! Really annoying

Delivered on time. Good cord length, on the Bosch TDA5071GB steam iron. Also good temperature control and fast heat output.

Works well but doesn’t get creases out of 400 thread count Egyptian cotton, otherwise great

When using steam function button, excessive water leaked out of the sole plate covering garment in water marks. I am returning the iron for a refund and buying a more expensive model. It’s true when they say that you get what you pay for !

Lots of steam, very hot, and not as noisy as my previous iron. One pass over with steam and crease is gone, therefore don't have to use it for hours on end. Good purchase for me.

These are fantastic irons and giving it three stars for durability might be harsh for this model... however, this is the third Bosch iron of very similar type in four years. I’m not sure I can trust them in terms of reliability. Shame they are so damn good to actually use as I get tempted back for another each time!!!

I went for a Bosch expecting high quality which was not my experience. From the very first time I used it water continually ran down the front and soaked my hand and also left drip spots on all the clothes and ruined the ironing board cover.

The iron so far seems fine, the only down point is the length of the cord

This is the best iron I have ever had. After my last Bosch iron gave up the ghost I replaced it with a different make, bad mistake these irons are the best.
