After some thorough research, I decided to buy this iron. It turned out to be a really good iron. It irons all types of fabric, very well!. It’s not overly heavy and has a great steam boost. I actually found ironing to be quicker and also better than with my previous iron (which was an older Philips model). I would definitely recommend this iron !
Umm TalhahGreat steam iron, not the lightest but I like a bit of weight in an iron. Does the job it is supposed to.
Mr. Rodney WalkerBought it 2 years ago, and still very happy with it ! Easy to use, efficient, practical. Definitely recommend it.
FranckThis iron has a lot of great features. Our favourite is the auto cut-pit when it's left on. It gets to temperature quickly and has been fairly robust over last 3 years. However, at the 3.5 year point it now trips the house electrics so it's due for retirement. Probably will but another Philips though
George WSpent hours and hours reading reviews and feedbacks and in the end, for the sake of my sanity, decided to look at just a few, taking into account the price and what I felt was the most important thing I wanted out of an iron! The most important thing for me is that it DOESN'T DRIP... So far, I'm really pleased with the Philips Azur, it really doesn't drip. The iron is fine for the price, powerful steam and long enough cable. One thing I would say is that the temperature dial and steam setting seem little flimsy but only time will tell.
Amazon CustomerVery good iron to use and has satisfactory heat and steam settings. I did knock a star off because of the flimsy temperature selection dial, its easily moved when you pick up the iron and really feels as if it will fall off any time.I will just add for anyone wondering, if like me an iron that drips is extremely frustrating don't worry, to date this iron is drip free which pleases me no end.

BlucherciatiCompared to my old iron this feels a lot more robust. The weight is nice and the plate glides over clothes. The steam boost function really does get the creases out. It does use a lot of water and has to be filled up more than I would have expected but it's a small price to pay for the convenience of easier ironing.
Daryl Marshall-TarlingThis iron is fabulous. It blasts through the laundry and removes even the worst creases easily. It has a generous flex making it easily manoeuvrable and heats rapidly. The calc clean function is quick and effective at ensuring the steam is flowing well.It even comes with a filling jug that fills the reservoir in one go rather thsn continual topping up. The hole at access the reservoir is large so that you don't have to fill as though you're doing some sort of Krypton Factor style challenge. The only minor complaint is that no matter what steam setting you're on, the reservoir needs refilling frequently but it makes such a good job of clothes that it seems naggy to complain. The iron has a good weight and feels built to last.Extremely pleased with my purchase

Extremely pleased with my purchase
So far it's perfect.1) cable length is very good2) weight - seemed bit heavier than previous one but it takes lots of water and really no issue even for my wife3) irons very good even stubborn creases4) so far (2mths) it didn't burn anything [even though i'm a man so everything gets ironed on high temp :) ] sole plate is as clean as new5) no problem with switching off by itself or any other problems that were mentioned in few reviews.Would recommend to everyone
sebcoIn need of a new iron I looked for the best offers - but also an iron that was capable of coping with mountains of ironing each week. For an iron that retails from between £50 - £70 - Amazon was by far the best price at £35. This iron will certainly not disappoint - I would even go as far to say that I actually enjoyed doing the ironing when I used it for the first time. Excellent steam facility, long lead, glides brilliantly over all fabrics. I used to be of the view that an iron is just like any other - but not after using this one - its brilliant, and by far the best iron I have ever used and I have had quite a few over the years. Once again service and delivery from Amazon was superb.
thesaintsI don't review some things straight away, in case my first impression is wrong. This iron is an excellent tool and it genuinely shaves minutes off my time stood at the ironing board. it glides over your clothes taking the stress out of the job. definitely recommend it and the long flex is brilliant.
CorbieI bought this iron after reading great reviews. The iron lasted 6 months and then the steam function gave up. This got replaced quickly by amazon and the new one is still going strong. The rubbery finish on the handle is worn off but its only cosmetic and I can deal with that. All in all a good iron which does not weight a tonne.
masI received my new Philips Azur iron yesterday. I left the laundry which needed to be ironed waiting for this new iron to come, so that I can try it out. I was left so relieved and excited on how quickly and well it ironed. Years of my previous iron wasting my hours and tediousness, has left me with a pure dislike of the chore. Now i can at least enjoy the task and do it in less the time.Great cord length, it does use a lot more water but i like it that i don't have to hold the steam button anymore. It does make a little bit of noise when put vertically, but i don't see it as a huge negative. Overall very very pleased with my new purchase.
RaiIf you want an iron for a reasonable price that does a great job easily, this is the one for you. We used to have one of those all singing all dancing steam ones and it did my head in, with it's clicking, weird cord and not paricularly brilliant performance. This one is not heavy, has a long and flexible cord and the shape of the tip being quite pointy is strangely effective. Yes, it,s a bit noisy when it,s standing up, and a bit heavy on the water, but I rate it. The shirts look better than they have done for ages. At the end of the day it,s an iron, we,re not talking about world peace here, but since having this the dreaded ironing is a lot less onerous. If you buy it, I think you,ll like it, don,t bother shopping around, just give this one a whirl.
Sam HarrisonOur iron has been playing up for some time so we spent a great deal of time trying to find out which iron to buy. Considered the big steam iron kits but thought they were a bit expensive and could be difficult to store and had very differing reports. Decide to stick with a standard steam iron that would do the job and this is what we chose. Very pleased with the iron - it does what it is supposed to do - easy to fill and nice to hold.
PlumberI purchased this Iron to replace my previous Iron where the sole plate had become sticky - Tried an Iron cleaner but I think I was too late.I like the auto shut off on the iron and the Iron appears to run longer on the same quantity of water. Its a competent steam Iron and irons well as far as I am concerned.
Mr. M. RogersRight I asked the ironer of my house (wife) for some Iron based feedback, here`s what I got....She liked the pointy bit for getting into hard to reach bits. There isn`t a big heavy `water holder` bit to carry about. It looks good. She likes how the wire is bendy enough to wrap around the iron and has a little clip for the flex to attach to so it stores away in the iron cupboard nicely. She was surprised how good the steam was.......Not sure what she expected of a `Steam Iron`
shavyThe first thing to note about this iron is that it it's a real steam engine. Fantastic for getting out creases but make sure you've considered ventilation if you're ironing in a small space, otherwise you'll soon find yourself ironing in a sauna. A full tank will deplete in around 30 mins of solid ironing. The Anodilium (a posh word for 'Anodised Aluminium') soleplate is both attractive, a good shape/size and glides freely over fabric. The forward point is not the narrowest, but still manages to get into those gaps between shirt buttons.Other reviewers have commented on the weight of the iron being on the heavy side, and that is true but I haven't yet felt fatigue while using it, and I've slugged through a couple of 60 min sessions already (thanks to putting off ironing due to obvious reasons). I find the weight is actually reassuring, giving it a solid and properly constructed feel.Overall, I'm happy with my purchase. It's a bit on the pricey side of the iron world but for the money you get the steam equivalent of David Attenborough, surprisingly exciting considering the subject matter.
