I am compelled to give write another review regarding Philips Azur iron. I have been using Philips for 12 years . My last iron was also azur but it needed to go therefore I updated myself with another Philips iron hoping it will be more efficient . It was for 3-4 months then it started to break. The dial fell out. The heating element died! I am absolutely flabbergasted that Philips would make a product of such quality . I have contacted Amazon but haven’t heard from them which is very unlike them !! Let’s see ... but plz don’t buy this iron complete waste of money and time

I haven't had this iron very long and paid more than I normally would as I wanted a good one. However it has stopped working and my partner thinks the thermostat has gone. I'm not impressed. Won't be buying another one of this make.

2 items (same model) broken within 13 months time: worse customer experience ever... and frustrated by the return policy
Reviewed on Amazon.co.uk

I bought this item in December 2013 and had to replace in May 2014 as it suddenly stopped working. I was pleased very the convenience to return the item. However 9 months later, I face exactly the same issue again. Unfortunately, the return window was closed in June 2014 so I cannot return it another time. I was so frustrated and disappointed! Having two items (same model) broken within less than a year is definitely a bad customer experience, especially given the price and the brand of this product. I am also very upset with the return policy as for me, as long as the manufacturer sends you a new item, the guarantee should be extended. Don't buy this product and be very careful with the return policy!

Thermostat a joke!
Reviewed on Amazon.co.uk

This has been returned - got to be the worst iron I have ever had - thermostat goes up and down even when set for the correct garment thermostat can increase and the damages the fabric - Philips was never a favourite of mine but it has been about 20 years since my last Philips purchase so I gave them a chance to redeem themselves - wrong choice - no Philips equipment will ever be in my home again !Buy another brand like Rowenta - I should have taken my own advice !

Terrible - I had two of these break within a year
Reviewed on Amazon.co.uk

After having melted a bit of a chiffon dress on a previous cheaper iron I decided to spend a bit more and I haven't been disappointed. It glides and doesn't stick, it heats up quickly and makes a good job of bed linen. I won't go back to £20 irons again.Update- after it not working after 3 months and Philips providing a replacement with no problems. The replacement broke again within 6 months. Useless.

Not perfect
Reviewed on Amazon.co.uk

I wish I could say this was perfect, but am not finding it so.I find the steam function difficult to get just right, and it sometimes is hotter than I think it should be, and it can melt material if you are not careful. Then you have to clean the base plate which is very smelly. It is quite lightweight to use. The flex is well placed. There is a cleaning function which needs activating regularly or it can suddenly send out nasty colour streaks onto clothes when you are not expecting it.

Great iron, but finish not so good
Reviewed on Amazon.co.uk

This is a really efficient iron. The steam and spray facilities work well and the sole-plate is really non-stick. However, after using it for only a couple of weeks - and I don't have lots of ironing as there is only me in the household, the plastic coating on the handle is peeling off. It is looking shabby already, even though it is brand new. Is it a manufacturing fault, or am I just unlucky?

Not great
Reviewed on Amazon.co.uk

I bought this iron to do normal day to day stuff - mostly work shirts. I'm no pro ironer so my demands are light. The first one I ordered arrived quickly and well packaged (as Amazon things always are) but it leaked so badly onto the clothes that it was unusable.I arranged an exchange and a replacement was dispatched straight away. The replacement is exactly the same as the first one - it leaks all over the clothes, even if you have the lowest steam setting. It's a shame as it seems well made. It's heavy, has a good long lead and looks the part. It's price suggests a quality product
