Cheap iron so good for basic ironing if you don't need to iron special fabrics

Conked off in 6 months. The steam on/off was quite moody from day 1, but we persisted with this. It is light and glides over clothes, but takes twice the time (and effort) probably because it’s so lightweight.Most disappointed that I bought it in Nov, and it has gone dead in April. Didn’t expect this from a Breville product.Dreading the whole returns exercise now as it asks you to contact manufacturer. Poor buy!

My old one stopped working so ordered the same again as it works

Great value for money.Perfect for someone who only irons once or twice a week. Ideal for student!Lightweight and handy cord storage.

I do not understand why some irons cost twice as much, or more. This is a serviceable iron. If it lasts out its guarantee period then it will have done its job - as it has started to do, perfectly, since it arrived.

So my last iron decided to die on me. It was in fact this exact same make and model. I looked at various other irons with various mixed reviews but decided that since the previous one lasted me over 5 years I may as well stick with it.This iron is a good basic Steam iron. Even though I live in a very hard water area it didn't get gunked up, although the water spray part of it did very quickly.The steam shot function and multiple heat settings are very good.In short for me it was better the devil you know.Hopefully this one lasts 5 years too!
