Feels sturdy & well-engineered, has worked well, but is now tripping the house RCD intermittently. The guarantee was for 2 years and it has failed after two and a half.

Less than a year old, this iron started to leak yellow drops through the sole plate, staining 2 pieces of clothing and the board cover. I contacted Braun who asked, twice, for photos of the damage and a copy of the receipt. They agreed to a replacement unless I wanted to return the iron for a full investigation in order to claim for the damaged clothing. I agreed to a replacement iron; they sent me a Braun TexStyle 9. Shortly after receiving it, the soleplate marked a polyester satin camisole permanently - there is no temperature control on this iron. I have emailed them with a photo of the damage but received no reply. Braun do not provide either good products or good customer service. Stay away!

Disappointing as it smoked when I put it on so had to return it.

Water water everywhere.

It leaks! I have used it only once and intend to give it more chance before deciding to return.

Instead of producing stream, this iron heavily drips water. This is a nightmare. Worst iron I have been using in my life.EDIT: The tricky part was that this iron does not accept distilled water (!). When you use filtered tap water it at least works. But the other side of the story is that tap water (even filtered - I use Brita filters) will eventually lead to another disaster - scaling.
