I had this model previously, but it was knocked onto the floor and the handle broke. Very pleased it's still available as easy to use and lightweight.
BEMPLove it
JMFeels sturdy & well-engineered, has worked well, but is now tripping the house RCD intermittently. The guarantee was for 2 years and it has failed after two and a half.
Chris WadeGood Rate !
RafI always have a braun iron, They handle so well, Quite lightweight, And it does what it’s suppose to do.
mickeyBought as a replacement for my previous iron that was an older model of this brand . These irons are light weight easy to use and give excellent results best iron I have owned over fourty years .
ColliewobblesGreat Iron. Empty out when storing though as per instructions
Mr H. LondonExcellent product.
Jean CampbellGood value - happy with the solid stainless soleplate which I think are the best.
Amazon CustomerI have had numerous irons in 46 years of marriage but I can honestly say g that this is the best.
Amazon CustomerLess than a year old, this iron started to leak yellow drops through the sole plate, staining 2 pieces of clothing and the board cover. I contacted Braun who asked, twice, for photos of the damage and a copy of the receipt. They agreed to a replacement unless I wanted to return the iron for a full investigation in order to claim for the damaged clothing. I agreed to a replacement iron; they sent me a Braun TexStyle 9. Shortly after receiving it, the soleplate marked a polyester satin camisole permanently - there is no temperature control on this iron. I have emailed them with a photo of the damage but received no reply. Braun do not provide either good products or good customer service. Stay away!
Francesca D.Excellent in all respects.
TomHave only used once so far but seems ok. A bit on the heavy side compared with my previous Braun iron but expect will get used to it,
Mrs Eileen CookeDisappointing as it smoked when I put it on so had to return it.
Y. CookWhen my old iron gave up the ghost I realised I had reached serious adulthood when I took time out to research and look at reviews on irons. I can't be the only sad person who does this because YouTube was littered with reviews and opinions on various irons. This one seemed to come up as being good and was in a price range I was prepared to pay and indeed extra for a sturdy product.
This is an excellent iron. It has a rubberised grip.
Clearly iron technology has advanced since my electric flat dry iron that I inherited from a relative went pop. I think it was over 30 years old! This new STEAM iron has good temperature control and is quite powerful at 2,400 watts. I can iron linen on just the number 2 setting with the steam also set low on number 2. It also has two very clever safety features. It turns itself off after 8 minutes of being left stood still. It warns you this has happened because the red pilot light flashes. It turns off after 30 seconds if it is left laying flat with no movement again with the flashing warning light. Possibly the iron has some kind of accelerometer inside to achieve this. Seems like a good idea, particularly the 8 minutes when stood up feature. Not entirely convinced about the 30 seconds because residual heat could still cause burning and potential fire. But at least it turns off.
The water tank holds 350ml which is adequate for me but if it runs out just put some more in. It came wll packed along with a sturdy water measuring jug. I don't use this because I purchased a Minky Board Buddy from here which acts as a spray and a water pourer.
All in all very pleased!
