Don't touch it with a barge pole
Reviewed on Amazon.co.uk

This oven replaced a fan oven of 13 years so I am familiar with how they work. However this fan oven does not cook to the temperature or within the time specified for a fan oven. They have been out to it and said it was okay.I then realised that the cupboard above was getting hot because the veneer is coming off the door. They came out and decided it needed new thermostats as the cooling fan was not kicking in. Second chap came spent nearly 2 hours and still could not get fan to work. He eventually decided that the fan is not designed to work with the main oven only the grill!!! Bombarding this is a cop out nor not as the manual clearly says there is a fan. So I am left with overheating oven that does not cook to temperature in the time specified and a damaged cupboard that can't be replaced!!Not happy.

Awkward

Looks nice but, The display for the temperature is very dark hard to make out as it is in black so you really have to look when putting the oven temperature on. The grill is very fiddly and take a while to heat up there's also no light when you use the grill. I would not purchase again or recommend this product.

Badly made - check before fitting required, I think.
Reviewed on Amazon.co.uk

The grill is not horizontal - it dips in the middle. Some of the fittings at the back of the cooker are also very inaccurate. The oven shelves are a bad fit.The controls are difficult to read if sight is an issue.I need an oven thermometer, the oven temperature is not convincing and anyway appears to be uneven, left to right and back to front.Angela Johnston Smith

Don't buy this cooker
Reviewed on Amazon.co.uk

The oven itself is fine but if you're using the grill it turns itself off after about 10 minutes - impossible if you're grilling vegetables or toast for a family. In the instructions it states that grilling some meats can take upto 25 minutes - impossible with this model as you'll be lucky to get 10 out of it. To be told it is 'energy saving' is rubbish and nowhere is that stated before you actually have the cooker and then it's too late...It's like boiling the kettle for a coffee but it turns itself off before it's reached boiling point!!

Not fit for purpose.

We bought the double oven about 10 weeks ago and what pile of rubbish. When cooking with the grill, the grill will stay on for about 8 minutes then cuts out for about 10 minutes making cooking gammon or chops a long job.We had a repair chap out who said its the way they are made to save power and said if we dont grill on full heat then it wont cut out.We tried this today on half power and it cuts out every few minutes. We are now going to try and get a refund as we have a family and cant wait for food to cook for nearly an hour. Not fit for purpose.

The main oven does not reach the temperature that is set , its approximately 20c lower the grill turns its self off after 15 minuets cools down then turns its self on again, so a phone call to Hotpoint is the answer.

Not very good.
Reviewed on Amazon.co.uk

I would advise anybody not to buy this oven, it is rubbish. Having had the same model before I ordered this one we had to have the engineer to look at it, it cuts out after a few minutes cooking, and the reply was that it is to save electricity and a safety measure! What a load of rubbish. Cooking bacon and then wishing to do toast it cuts out and you have to wait for it to cool. The rest of the food is going cold!

Easy to use.. 1. There appears to be little on no insulation between the top oven and the bottom oven. When using the bottom oven only, the top oven gets very hot!2. The controls are easy to use but the contrast of the visual displays of the settings (ie Temp) are very poor to the point of being extremely difficult to read. It would be a lot better if the displays were in White on the Black background. Dark brown against black is absolutely useless!3. No comment it's a built-in Oven and I don't have to lift or carry it!

Looks nice. Fairly sure this oven isn't running to its temperature stated on dials. Having to turn right up to max to be able to roast and it's still slow.

Cheap rubbish. Spend more on something better

Wish I’d bought something better. Three years of normal usage and:- the knobs deform from heat from the grill (yes really)- the seal round the oven doesn’t seal, so grease runs off the door and drips on the floor- the heating element just broke and I had to replace it. Only £20 but shouldn’t happen this quickly.

Sadly, The oven is faulty - the thermostat presumably, since when the bottom oven is put on at 180 degrees, the actual temperature inside the oven is 250+Hopefully, we will be able to have it replaced or fixed.

Really lovely oven but fan is quite noisy, having had this oven a couple of months upon using it the oven has dripped out condensation and caused my oven housing to expand due to the water dripping. I would not recommend this. Upon contacting the seller on here about it got told to call hotpoint direct which I did to be left holding for an hour only to be cut off from a timed out call. So still got a damaged oven. Not happy
