Firstly the positives; easy to use (understand controls) and appears "reasonably" well made.The major problem for my wife and I has been an undocumented feature, which you will not find in any advert or in the Hotpoint user manual.You CANNOT use the double grill on full power (4 on the knob) for more than 8 minutes because of an automatic safety feature, which switches the grill off for a full 5 mins meaning that you cannot cook crispy bacon, sausages and a whole host of other foods. No matter what you do you cannot get the grill to go back on until it has cooled down (5 mins) during which time your bacon or sausages are cold.This grill, in my opinion, is no use. I have never had such a frustrating piece of kitchen equipment ever. If I had known about this undocumented "8 min Safety Feature" I would never have bought it. The Hotpoint Serviceline was useless, knew abolutely nothing about the product and sent an unwanted Hotpoint engineer (COVID19) who said there was no fault with the oven and charged us £55 for the privilege.The engineer stated we were the fourth customer he knew of complaining of the same "fault", which was not a fault but a Hotpoint design safety feature. He was polite but no practical use and did not offer us any advice as how to circumnavigate this ridiculous unhelpful design safety feature.I understand the need for safety but 8 mins is far too short a time, 25 to 30 mins yes I could understand but 8, really?In short do yourself a favour and avoid this double oven. Do not buy it.

Easy to use. The cooker had a fault on the first day , every time the oven door was closed the digital clock alterted . This had to be changed by the engineer a few days later. Why wasnt this cooker .QA. tested before it was sold ?

I previously had a single oven/grill which I disliked. There are often times when you need to use the grill and oven together or cook something which requires a different temperature. This was one of the main reasons for choosing this oven. It was also reasonably priced for a double oven. For faster cooking the oven is good, for slower cooking I use a slow cooker because it costs less.. It isn't as easy to clean as my previous oven but that was more expensive and had an easier to clean finish. It's true to say that you get what you pay for!

Standard - no more or less than I'd expect.. Front looks cheap with plastic looking fascia. A glass fascia housing the knobs would go a long way to making it look better.

Very satisfied with product, great value for the money. Fits extremely well in a lovely fitted kitchen and works very efficiently when cooking, also easy to clean.????????.

Speed to heat up, very quiet.. Grill pan handle is pathetic but it appears most are now.

Good capacity, three shelves so plenty of cooking space. Huge amount of steam when opening door. Temperature dial feels cheap and hard to get right temperature. Need to cook at higher temperature than stated.

I wanted a basic, uncomplicated oven and this ticks all the boxes.. No problems so far!

Very similar to what we had before but much improved - faster warm up and louder timer! On previous model the door seals would regularly go..

Brushed steel handles could be slightly smaller in diameter but this is only from an aesthetic point of view but on the flip side others may find it easier to grip when opening doors. I’m struggling to come up with a bad point for a budget model.

Good value and easy to use. The grill doesn’t work It turns off every five minutes for five minutes so it’s completely useless. As an oven it’s great but you can’t cook anything under the grill if you’re timing food together without it being uncooked or cold. Hotpoint said it’s tough as it’s a new feature.If I knew this before buying it I would have chosen another brand.

. Oven light goes out before reaching temperature. Grill cuts out before food is cooked. Top oven gets very hot when fan oven is being used. Wish I had kept my old cooker when I purchased a new kitchen!!
