Noisy on slow spin, clothes comes out wet, uses a lot of water would not reccomend

Have only used the machine twice and on each occasion a sock has got stuck in the groove of the rubber seal. Not only had the sock not been washed or rinsed but it had blocked the drain holes and prevented water escaping from the seal. Speaking to Bosch customer services was a complete waste of time. The person I spoke to offered no help and said this was not a fault and should be expected. Having owned Service, Zanussi and Hotpoint machines before and never experienced this problem I am now extremely disappointed that I now own a machine with a design fault but can do nothing about it. DO NOT BUY THIS MACHINE.Also note that a 30 day return policy is only valid if you have not used the item or the manufacturer agrees it is faulty.

Happy with the performance and everything about it.....barring the fact that when installing it I leant on the loading door and snapped the entire thing off as it was fitted with 2 little plastic hinges that just buckled. Not what I expected from a bosch.

We house our washing machine in a rather bright conservatory where it is virtually impossible to read the digital display except in the late evening. Otherwise it works well if one knows how to easily disable the child-proof locking mechanism without needing to see the read-out..

The instructions are very confusing. I suspect bad translation from German?

After being a loyal hotpoint fan for many years, I gave into the temptation of the great brand campaign that Bosch stands for. Co-op at the time was running a great deal and it was a great price for a machine that was 1 kg bigger than my previous one. So here are some things that I really like:A. Absolutely no noise. This machine is really really silent. While neighbours would know when my last machine was on, this one is very hard to tell even for meB. Touch screen for controls. Very nice feature, I must sayC. Controls look really cool with a led backlightD. Amazing build - you touch the machine, the controls, the body, the door and they exude quality and longevityNow for a couple of things that irk me a bit:A. Water is retained in soap dispenser after every wash. The dispenser is a bit plasticky and I feel I would break it every time I use itB. The seal inside the drum has created marks on the door window and that looks bad. This is even after installation done by Co-op themselvesC. A great deal of water and detergent gets trapped in the seal after the wash and if you don't clean it after every wash - there is potential of mouldD. No spin only function. Really annoying - I should have seen this, but really how many of us see all the functions of a washing machine before buying. I clearly don't. So you heard it right, there is no spin only function. Which means if you have any other garment that has been soaked outside and you don't intend to use washing machine for the wash, but only spinning: it won't happen. You will have to get full rinse then spin. Even my last Hotpoint had a spin only function!E. The 8kg function can only be used on 1-2 programmes. So don't expect a 8kg wash in a one hour programme : you need more than 2 hours for itEven after all the annoying things, I must say I love the machine for how silent it is, the quality of wash, how strongly it's built. If you are a big family looking to get a silent machine from an amazing brand, look no further if you can live with the points I mentioned. For

Avoid this washing machine, It has a big problem with the door seal collecting dirt and smells, this washing machine needs to be cleaned every month. very poor customer service
