This iron by Tefal has just one temperature setting. Great no more having to adjust on that. However the downside is that it produces a lot of steam, for every piece of clothing and that means it uses up a lot of water. Arthur EntwistleI wondered how the iron would cope with different materials, the sole plate isn't hot, that's how, so the steam works hard to rid the garment of the wrinkles, which it does very well.It doesn't cope with the spray easily as the heat from the sole plate won't dry it up as it's not hot enough.The iron spits flakes of calcium scale each time the iron is righted on to the heel.There are many times the water drips from the iron plate as you iron which carries the scale with it leaving the garment with a scale deposit, this may mean you have a mark on the cloth until you next wash it or have to re-wet the garment and spot clean.It takes longer to iron the garment.

adele culleyAlthough I love the fact I don't have to worry about the temperature anymore this iron is not drip free and it drinks water. I now use an indoor watering can instead of the standard little water holder I had from my previous iron as there was no water container with this new iron. Its easy to use but still needs to be used with care if water staining will affect your fabric.
