Have used this as an oven, grill and microwave, it is brilliant and one of the biggest you can get these days. I already had one so bought this for my daughter.
Amazon CustomerAfter 2 weeks, still finding out about this Combi oven. So far, I am happy with the functions.
Disadvantage, is needing to keep removing various shelves as 5hey are not all suitable for different functions. E,g, wire rack needs to be removed when using microwave.
Product looks nice, especially like the flat bed design.

gina alpeNew Microwave just arrived and guess what; its microwave settings does NOT include the most common setting used in the UK for convenience foods, namely 800 or 850 Watts. You get 1000w or 600w and below, in six bracketed settings, but nothing in-between 1000 and 600. The instructions frequently refer to Yorkshire puddings etc, so has obviously had some input from the UK, but somehow missed noticing that 90% of convenience foods from ALL UK supermarkets come with a 800/850 Watt setting! I'm waiting to see if anyone can throw some light on this in the questions setting and I will be calling Panasonic customer support after the weekend, but suspect this microwave is about to be returned.
Pete B.microwave is brilliant, grill will take a bit of getting used to, not used the oven function as yet.
Amazon CustomerAmazing oven/microwave
eni2015The ceramic base to my Panasonic Combination Microwave shattered and without a STORE receipt Panasonic will NOT repair your oven. Even with a store receipt you only have a 1 year warranty. John Lewis offer 2 years warranty so you're better of buying from there.
majacoffHeats up quick, easy(ish) to clean, looks great on the counter, fabulous microwave features, amazing baked potato setting (wife is delirious with joy at this). It does have problems: the internal light is essentially unusably small and dark and only lights up on side and crucially, there is somewhat uneven heat: the back heats up hotter than the side closer to the door.
tooshayI was initially very happy with this machine but after 10 weeks from new the microwave part has failed, the combi oven and grill are still good. It has to be repaired at the nearest Panasonic recognised facility which happens to be 35 miles away and because they treat this as a walk in item you have to get it there then return when told its ready to pick it up. So approx. an hour up an hour back then repeat later roughly 140 miles and four hours possibly more travel. so I'm afraid I don't consider the warranty any good unless you happen to be close to the repair facility. To say I'm disappointed is a vast understatement and have now lost all confidence in the machine as if it fails again in a short time all this will have to be repeated. So buyer beware as it is a very expensive piece of kit with a warranty that isn't worth much.
TelPretty Good gadget
T. QuinnBought this on 4th Feb. The one negative I have is that the temp.control "+/-" would only work with sliding and not tapping as an option to select temp.needed. Otherwise highly delighted with product - (so far).
RoboHad my new Panasonic NN-CF853W combi microwave for a few days now. I thought it was large until I compared it with the one my girlfriend was given that's even taller! It has an enamel, wire & glass shelf. The grill has glass-encased elements & the oven is fan assisted. The controls are built into the downward hinging door so the oven's interior is full width. The build quality is OK but the door is undamped so can crash down - not great for an oven that retails for up to £355 (paid £175 from JL in their sale as a return)! My last one developed a crack in the outer part of its door so was ripe for replacement. The old Panasonic (25 yrs old) also allowed times of 1 sec increments, the new one has 10 secs but not a huge issue.I can reheat a mug of tea in any corner or centrally with very similar results & not having a turntable makes it easier to clean with more room.I baked a 300g potato Saturday - took 18 mins - came out virtually the same as it would in my gas oven but in 3rd the time - crisp-skinned rather than soggy!A minor issue is that the touch-pad is unlit & you need to be quick with your fingertips until you get used to it - you may find you overshoot a setting or time. The fan turns off immediately after microwaving something - no wonder some users complain of rusting - the fan should continue to run for a short period to such out the steam! The fan does not consume that much power, Panasonic!Philips tried to sell micros without turntables years ago but they didn't sell - people got too used to seeing their food rotating!
busbBest microwave I have ever had. Bit more complicated, takes a bit of getting used to
Daphne Vallinspro quality oven
john g bensonVersatile and excellent cooker with lots of options including three stage cooking. Would have given 5 stars if the shelves weren't so heavy and cumbersome though with care you don't have to use them unless you are grilling and the icons for the functions on the control pad are too small. . Instruction manual comprehensive though I would have liked more of a quick start chapter - otherwise its a 2 hour read at least. Looks easy to keep clean.
CathyNice to look at, easy to use and so adaptable. Easy to clean and clever sensor programs that actually work. The extra volume makes it so much more versatile - especially when the family come to visit.
suesweeney55Very happy with the product
Vikram F.PanasonicI don't know what Panasonic's factory test kitchen is like, but it obviously isn't anything like mine.No-one could call my kitchen dark; the walls and ceiling are stark white, the cabinets and appliances are all stark white, there are good-sized windows in two walls and the third wall has a full length glass door to the outside; and it's only 14ft square. Yet, in daylight, the controls and the LED screen on this machine are unreadable from an arm's length away. The screen itself is illuminated (I use the word loosely) dark blue, the lettering on it also being blue; and the fact that it's a paler blue than the screen doesn't help at all. After darkness, under artificial light, however, the situation is slightly improved; so obviously, no daylight in the test lab, then....But worse, you might think, the touch controls are marked with icons only 5mm square, in brown on black- unilluminated. Unless you are directly in front of it and very close, you cannot even SEE them, let alone read the microscopic symbols contained within these tiny squares.Whilst tiny, this doesn't stop them being unduly sensitive. If you have a slightly shaky touch, a double activation invariably results. This is particularly infuriating with the microwave power-setting button, because whilst the first touch gives you "high", the second, inadvertent, unwanted and often un-noticed touch gives you a wholly unintuitive "defrost" when you might have expected "medium". You then either have to switch off and start again, or cycle through the whole range of six settings to get back to "high"; or, if you haven't noticed the double activation, return to a slightly warmed-up mess instead of at least only a partly-cooked meal..Moreover, the choice of these microwave settings is astonishingly and inappropriately limited. Displayed on the screen only as high, defrost, medium, low, simmer and warm, in that order, the manual says they are equivalent to 1000, 270, 600, 440, 300, and 100watts respectively; but the vast majority of products give advi
Jeff WalmsleyTiny icons you can barely see, sliding mechanism to set time really irritating. Works well enough but design features really need some adjusting.
J StephenI love this microwave. I bought it to replace my old Panasonic which was 10 years old and starting to make a bit of noise. I have even used it to prove bread and it's great.
Caroline JeffsPanasonic's premium combination model NN-CF853W has a 32 litre cavity and is designed to enable you to quickly cook delicious and nutritious meals your family will love. Packed with innovative features as well as being easy to both use and clean, the new microwave also features a modern but timeless design, making it the ideal addition to any contemporary kitchen.Panasonic's NN-CF853W microwave features a flatbed, rather than a turntable. The flatbed not only creates a larger cooking area, it also means you can place dishes of all shapes inside the oven. Unlike a turntable, which needs to be removed, the flatbed design is much easier to clean. Thanks to the 2-Level Convection Cooking you can cook two levels simultaneously, to make even large families happier at mealtime. A fan circulates the heat evenly throughout the oven so it reaches the food uniformly and efficiently. Ideal for roasting and baking with highly uniform heat.Panasonic's microwave also features an intelligent Sensor Cooking option that makes preparing perfectly cooked food easier than ever before. By simply pressing the Turbo cook key, "Simmer" (300 W) micro power optimally supports the manually setting; Convection, Grill, Grill & Convection. The advanced new electrostatic touch panel with blue LED allows smart, easy setting operation with Swipe & Touch.
