I needed a cheap, thin fan. This was a cheap thin fan which made clicking noises. Poor quality I assume. I know being thinner the tolerances are probably less, but there's really no excuse.

Moved a lot of air though, so if you get a good one it'll do a job.

Got these to replace the heffers that that came with my case as I needed more space so I could squeeze a Z370G motherboard into the chassis of a Corsair Carbide 240, nothing special about them apart from they do their job, Bit over priced for what they are hence the 3 stars

Used this as a replacement fan for my GPU heatsink ( Accelero Mono Plus ). Performance wise it works well. I have it running at 7v and the noise isnt too bad at all. The high pressure keeps my overclocked GPU well below 80c at full loads even after 1 hour. However, then im within 1 meter of the case, I can hear some not so nice characteristics from this fan. Mainly a grindy/gritty sound coming from the motor. I disconnected the fan and ran it outside the case to hear how it sound when unimpeded and the grindy noise still exists. As I move the fan around and change its orientation from horizontal to vertical the noise changes, as if theres something in the motor moving around.

Having said that, im keeping it as I sit far enough away from my case (about 3 meters) to not notice the noises. Its performance on the heatsink is great and it is quiet apart from the gritty motor noise. For the low price, its a good fan.

Note: I also have a slip stream slim fan ( 2000rpm ) and its not as good as this fan in every regard.

Significantly Louder than the stock fans. By far the loudest component in my PC. I'd go for the non-PWM, black ones next time.

They have a ticking noise on start up and low rpm. Wind noise at mid to high rpm.
