Very disappointed with this
Reviewed on Amazon.co.uk

Very disappointed with this. It looks so great in the pictures but is a very cheap-and-cheerful unit. Works OK but the construction is so feeble and I have other fans that are far better built for no more than this price. Worst of all, when it arrived just now the packaging is in perfect order, not a mark on it but parts of the fan were broken inside. The instructions (such as they are) show the usual wing-nut-type bolt in the top of the stand for adjusting the angle of the fan's head. This is no more and (I think) there is now some sort of click mechanism for pulling the head up and down. I know nothing about it as this was in pieces in various parts of the box and there is still some rattling about in the base. Reason for this, I think, is that the head had been wrenched back too far when packing it and all this had snapped into many pieces. However, the mechanics work and I get over the tilt problem by using a large Philips screwdriver to loosen and tighten the bolt (where thewing nut used to be) and I really can't be bothered to send it back and chance getting another in the same condition. Now to update this review after a few uses.....when in oscillation mode (especially in number 3 speed) the unit 'clicks' when reaching the end of the right-to-left swing and then, when returning the other way, it does so in three 'jerks' NOT in a smooth movement and a 'tinny' rattling noise comes from somewhere in the fan drive. Combine that with the fact that the useless instructions were obviously for some newer / older model and some things were different on this one have had enough and started the procedure to return it for a refund. It really is a heap of junk !!!After much to-ing and fro-ing and finding out that it cost far more to post this back than the original price of the fan, the sellers have sent me a post-paid label for the package and it's gone home ! Watch this space.Note...before this they even had the cheek to offer me a 'partial refund' (German humour no doubt !)Final note.......have now had a full r

Silent running fan.
Reviewed on Amazon.co.uk

A nice fan that is not white for once and works very well, the fan has 3 speed settings and have found that they all are generally quite silent when operating as well as when oscillating too, and giving a nice cool air flow.Out of the box you have to assemble the front pieces which is quite simple by putting the fan blade in position, putting a top piece on that to secure the blade and then just putting the mesh covers on together and fixing together with the little brackets on them as well as a tiny screw and nut on top which can be done without any tools.*One thing to note it does come with a French plug fitted! - even though it came direct from amazon UK but you can either put it into a shaverplug or fit a UK plug of course.* Other things to note - when putting the securing top piece on the fan blade it screws on counter-clockwise rather than the usual clockwise which at first might make you think that it does not screw on but it does just backwards, and also there is a white plastic cover on the metal part of the fan which the blade then attaches to which needs to be taken off before attaching the rotor blade to it.

*One thing to note it does come with a French plug fitted! - even though it came direct from amazon UK but you can either put it into a shaver
plug or fit a UK plug of course.

* Other things to note - when putting the securing top piece on the fan blade it screws on counter-clockwise rather than the usual clockwise which at first might make you think that it does not screw on but it does just backwards, and also there is a white plastic cover on the metal part of the fan which the blade then attaches to which needs to be taken off before attaching the rotor blade to it.
